Ron Paul Defends NYC Mosque

Well, I hope this works...I found the Police Incident report from Sept 12, 2001...made it into a PDF, redacted the names and license plate number (using Visio) and made a notation on what the word "unfounded" means. Now I just hope the image shows OK.

AGREED. Ron Paul understands the real meaning of being an American - freedom of property, action and decision. Frankly the right wingers are making a big deal of this. Extremists in Iraq aren't going to be going, "Oh YES we finally got a mosque built near ground zero!"

Their dream is to exterminate ALL of us. The whole AMERICAN concept. American way of life. You think they'd be cheering just because a MOSQUE was built near the WTC?

They're still going to keep at it, trying to get at us.

On top of that, it's fundamentally wrong that we discriminate against Muslims, since the HUGE majority of those living in America (99.995%) are peaceful and loving.

EXACTLY. Not everyone in the religion represents the religion. Look at Catholicism. Highest number of child molestations reported on the news.

Extremists in that sense are a VERY SMALL MINORITY!

I'm not a Rand Paul supporter but I'm glad to see he backs the center. I just think allowing the center provides an opportunity to heal 9/11 and show the terrorists that we will not change for the worse and become like them. America must continue to progress.

Even the opponents of the mosque agree on the 1st Amendment rights. Unfortunately, that is not the issue.
