Yes it's getting to be quite the contest

This season is so unpredictable, that I can see this battle going down to the wire, and I wouldn't count out those who are even 8-10 behind the leaders at this point..

The only guarantee so far this year is that my TEAM loses..

Even though I picked against them, I was happier than a pig in slop when they won. First road win against a team outside of their own division in a long time...two plus seasons...

I know this is off topic for this thread, but figured you guys especially would be interested in thread I just wrote about football and the big hit controversy that arose this past week.

My Big Hit Thread

If this turns out to be a big no no, I apologize. I just figured since I rarely really browse BTS, maybe others operate the same way. Again, apologizes if this is a no no

...and on the heels of a horrible picking effort by me, the Broncos get completely rolled by the damn last team I ever want to see experience any form of football success.

I do not know right now who I hate more: The Raiders.... or myself for being a lifelong Bronco fan.

I pulled out 10 wins this week. Should of been 11, What happened to the broncos man? Wait... it should of been 12, New Orleans fell to the browns? What?

Just need two or three 10+ performances or my chance at catching up is slim!

It has been an odd season so far. I bet some bookie somewhere is making a fortune on all the upsets.

Man we are waaay behind last year's pace.
I'm pretty sure the bye schedule is the same so I don't think it's on account of less games.

Well the first place team is 7 points down from last years first place team at this time (week 7).

That is only one correct pick per week off...considering the upsets and the odd season this year...I don't think we are doing too bad.

I think last year was kind of predictable...I didn't play here...but I was in other pickem contests and the picks just seemed more clear last year.

Man, what a schizo season.

I think I woke up the whole house yelling at the TV (read Brett) , Sunday night.

Anyone have the stats on league turnovers vs. last year ? It's got to be way up.

In my own defense, football was about the furthest thing from my mind that week.

I just wanted to alert to the fact that starting in WEEK 10... the entries will be locking on THURSDAYS, one hour prior to the first contest of the week through week 16, the final week will revert back to a Sunday lock

Please keep this in mind, I don't want anyone to be blindsided by this..

Well as predicted, that was quite the train-wreck ...

Basically we're not very good.

Here I was...doing solid. Not good, not bad, but solid. Then last week, now this week!

I just have no idea where this season is going.

this season is insane. The jets laid an egg last sunday, Moss was released by the vikings, favre wont leave the NFL, and the oakland raiders seem to be point machines.

The only consistant thing this season is the inconsistancy.

But other than that, I am climbing in the standings. 21 points off from first place and a 2 week winning streak.
