I don't know why I am at all surprised that the American Right - including the Republican Party - has decided that scapegoating Muslims is the ticket to success. After all, it's nothing new.

The rising hate for muslims is due to their own irresponsibility
Constantly blaming everyone else for everything and never owning up to anything. Denying any responsibility for any problems within their own culture.
Chanting death to america then begging for help every single time a problem arises.
Denying everything bad, every single problem within islam all the time.
These childish actions dont earn anyone any respect.
Muslims have made their bed and they can sleep in it until they learn to play nice. Start dealing with your own systems, stop being afraid to question your religious leaders and remove some of the hate mongering ones before you even think to start blaming anyone else.

What's wrong with a Christian utopia? You got a problem with Christians? If you don't like Christians why don't you move to Iran since you think it is such a nice place. I bet they will treat you with great kindness and respect.

Yes, I got a problem with Christians. America is not a Christian nation and I'm glad it's not. I'm an Atheist not a Muslim.

So America is NOT a Christian nation?? OK then, enjoy your happy little fantasy. I see you live in Sacramento. That is hardly mainstream America.

Treaty of Tripoli, ratified by the U.S. Senate in 1797. Article 11 states: "As the Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion; as it has in itself no character of enmity against the laws, religion, or tranquility [sic], of Mussulmen [Muslims]; and, as the said States never have entered into any war, or act of hostility against any Mahometan nation, it is declared by the parties, that no pretext arising from religious opinions, shall ever produce an interruption of the harmony existing between the two countries."
Majority rule is a means for organizing government and deciding public issues; it is not another road to oppression. Just as no self-appointed group has the right to oppress others, so no majority, even in a democracy, should take away the basic rights and freedoms of a minority group or individual.
• Minorities – whether as a result of ethnic background, religious belief, geographic location, income level, or simply as the losers in elections or political debate – enjoy guaranteed basic human rights that no government, and no majority, elected or not, should remove.
• Minorities need to trust that the government will protect their rights and self-identity. Once this is accomplished, such groups can participate in, and contribute to their country's democratic institutions.
• Among the basic human rights that any democratic government must protect are freedom of speech and expression; freedom of religion and belief; due process and equal protection under the law; and freedom to organize, speak out, dissent, and participate fully in the public life of their society.
