It would be very sad, yet if you ask me, this would be the only reason possible for a cover up of the shoot down. And believe you me, the officials would cover this fact up in a nano second. The "Hero" story came out almost instantly, tales of what the passengers did in the last moments of their lives, this was the only grain of hope for the entire country in those days after 9/11. Knowing that at least we got those bastards(hijackers).

Do you really think the military or any sane government official would mess that up? Letting a story out, about how moments after the jet was taken back, they took action to ground the plane before it got to DC. Not having any idea that the passengers had just or were in the process of taking back the plane?
