Sounds like a lot of scaremongering bunk to me.

1) scientists and thinkers that went against current theories, have in the past been discredited, and even worse, burnt at the stake for herecy...

2) if it was discovered today by the governemts that the world was coming to a cataclysmic event, do you think they would tell us, or just let us keep buying products and paying taxes?

3) research takes time, and more often than not, large research groups require funds that are granted them thru governments, univiersities, and corperations... which of those entities are most likely to fund said research that shows the future is bad for humankind? none in my opinion

however, if it was discovered, you could sure bet that these governemts and corperations would make sure THEY survived, and would dig in and ensure some kind of life in the future... and they would deny all of it to ensure that we still spend $ and pay taxes.

edit - even in modern works of fiction(armageddon, deep impact, 2012) the governemts have known years in advance of those impending doom scenarios, yet they intentionally withheld that information from the pulbic.
they know that people would stop living the life they want us to live

We dont have to let them "pull it off". All underground infrastructure will be immediately destroyed by the most massive earthquakes humans have ever seen. It doesnt do much good to be underground if you are also under miles of water. Unless you are escaping by "spaceship" which a few will. You are just as bad off as the rest of us. Those on the spaceships though will be laughing their butts off at the ones underground. I hope those "in the know" read this, your are set to die at the exact same time we are, (maybe a couple of days later. at best.)

One thing you have not gone over is the difference in dates...For some reason some have translated the end date as 10/28/2011...
Thoughts on this....
Also you say you researched Maya ruins indepently... i too have been wanting to visit the ruins and I was wondering are there any books that offer a guide to Ancient Mayan texts?
I always wonder how archaelogists get the meaning from these symbols.

1. Many physicists have determined that 12/21/2012 is in fact the date that we will pass throught the galactic equator. No...not the case at all...note his wording carefully...he says "there is some evidence that we passed through 3 years ago" or something like that...I've read so many different numbers, but most of the scientific articles I read state we last passed through around the time of the last mass extinction, 65 million years ago. Here is one article for example.

The Mayan question on the other hand is very different. So much has been destroyed, and continues to be destroyed it's crazy. I suggest you go to used book websites. I won't name any in particular because they would be shut down. Look for anything Mayan and, do it now. They are buying and destroying as we speak.

Okay. Surely there has to be some way to prepare...Some place we can go. A worst case scenario prep plan.
I occasionally buy the EM 3600 Calorie bars and I have a coil light. I don't know how else to explain it but basically the flashlight has tightly coiled copper wire in the middle of it and you shake it real fast and it comes on. No batteries needed.

At 01:50 they talk about the construction of the airport as well as show pictures of the underground area.

Note you don't have to jump on the 2012 train just have a macguiver plan just in case...
