I just bought Love All THe People, a collection of interviews, routines etc. of Bill Hicks. Not much new, but it is great to be able to read through
his act and marvel at the way he deals with hecklers so smoothly.
I reccomend any Bill Hicks fan to buy it, you can never get enough Hicks
Fantastic read! I love the Counts Of The Netherworld Treatments, So sad that we will never be able to watch those shows, I think they would have been
superb. Truly a great man who died long before anyone would wish to, and who never got the recognition he deserved while alive.
There was a lot more audience interaction in the old routines. In particular, the Chicago Funny Firm gig from 1989 is a classic. It also has one of my
favourite sketches, "Goober Dad" and the subsequent "Goobers on Holiday":
"We're gettin up at 2am, I wanna be on the road for 2.05. We're gonna be driving 14 hours in no direction whatsoever, Bill, the sun will always be
shining through YOUR window, figure that one out buddy."
You can get a real player video of both parts of the gig at
