Seems like every day we here something about our federal government baking down to something. Last one was how we backed down on BP and let them take over the ocean.
NOW!! here they come up the border..Wow!

Since neither Party is willing to do anything, what do you personally suggest beyond a joke? I view Bush and Obama with equal disdain, you should also if you are open to honesty. Is there really any difference? If it was wrong when Bush was in power, it's just as wrong now that Obama is in power. Clearly though, the one in power now is the only one who can do anything and Obama clearly is not going to do anything. That leaves those living on the Border without the protection that Obama and Bush swore an oath to provide.

It was a vast majority of posts within this thread that has compelled me to finally join. I've lurked around here for years. Anyways to the point...I'm currently a Behavioral Therapist and prior to this I worked with a company contracted by some large and interesting corporations so I believe I can shed some insight on a few misconceived notions. Here in Arizona (Where I reside), we are heavily dependant on the migrant system. You others are as well...just not so well informed. The migrants comming up from the border actually work for major manufactures and food produce facilities for pennies on the dollar. That in turn allows you all to purchase goods at "reasonable" prices. Now, most believe that these immigrants are sucking up all the wellfare our current system has remaining. This is extremely false. I work as an in home BX. Therapist and I can tell you now...1 out of the 14 families I work with that are on wellfare or any type of assistance are from Mexico. All the others, are overweight caucasions. Moving along, immigrant related crimes don't equivilate to a 1/8 of American involved crimes. If you want to get down to numbers on this "war on drugs", drunk driving kills almost 10 times the amount of drug realted deaths in America. Arizonans fear retaliation from our own government...I still sweat buckets when a cop gets behind me b/c it's a 50% chance I'm getting pulled over in my black suite in my white vibe in 114 degree heat. For some reason the cop (Usually after the second or third squad car arrives) they keep changing. I ask for badge numbers and they leave...I show up to court with my lawyers provided for through the companies I've worked with and they don't show. I've already had half a dozen officers "releaved" from duty. Back on topic, the government is f***ed...no if's and buts about it. It was mentioned earlier that they pulled off the border to prevent further confrontation. This is as true as it could possibly get. America is not a sleeping giant...she is a lathargic b****...we are incappable of securing our borders just as we are incappable of forcing our agenda upon the world. And another thing, It gets really old hearing about Obama being at fault for the America's grief. I'm an Arizonan and can tell you, I voted for him over my own Mccain...he was simply the lesser of two evils.

What's going on in America these days? As an Australian looking in I'm shocked...!! How can Mexican drug cartels take control of American soil? Are the CIA letting them? America is not what it used to be, the American people must stand up peacefully and make the government take notice through numbers. Your greatest power is when the people are together! If you fracture a nation and you'll fracture your chances of change. It must also be done peacefully otherwise you'll play into TPTB game and they'll win with force. Good luck my American friends, i know the people, not your government will stop your country being overtaken.

Are you part of the VAST socialist system of government welfare and control system? Seems your system is breaking down.

Now, being a behavioral therapist, please tell me what is the condition called, when a person or group of persons continues the same actions or behaviors that cause them harm? Is their a disorder named for that?

As for the percentage of criminal invaders using ANY tax dollars, that is just irrelevant.

Also, as a SUPPOSED behavioral therapist, using derogatory descriptions for recipients of your socialist system, is QUITE enlightening.

Also, as for your attempt to defend the use of SLAVE labor, for all intents and purposes, to keep the price of products down, tell me oh wise one of the economic environment, does the stagnation of wages cause any harm to the market? Since you wanted to wade into the discussion of the economy.

Last but not least, are we being too politically incorrect for you? Pfft, who cares. Seems we are not one of YOUR socialist patients living off the teat of government. For the most part, we are the ones supporting this crap and we are getting sick of it.

As much as many American's will agree with your post...we unfortunately are at a point where we cannot attempt to prevent migrants from moving through. Also, more illegal drugs are trafficed through our Northern buddies (Canada) then through the Mexican border. In addition, to a lack of protecting the borders...as I stated above...America needs it's migrant work force. Now more than ever with our current "economy" crisis. Somewill preach about a temp. work Visa and how the money migrants make should be taxed. This, if you really look into the details is incredibly faulty. For starters, should migrant workers be required to pay taxes companies would in turn have to provide "fair" wages. This in turn would raise prices on goods purchased which in turn would defeat the purpose of having "slave" labor. America, unfortunately, depends on these undocumented workers providing undocumented labor that companies don't have to report in order to keep costs comfortable for their average American consumer.

I assure you there were Border Patrol all along the south west border of Arizona. I can't speak for the rest of the Arizona border.

Oh yeah! I was driving from Arizona to Los Angeles. I had to go through 3 check points before reaching Coachella. And they were fully staffed (no dogs in this heat).

There have been several Border Patrol agents outright murdered along the border. They are like patrol officers - - they are not a military force.

There should be a military presence on the border - - like the National Guard.

This sheriff is wrong in what he is demanding of the Border Patrol officers.

Now back to the other questions you've queired...You don't live here (In Arizona), so you lack a complete understanding of how hard the economy crisis has hit Arizona. It's not so much lower paying job availability as it is the higher paying jobs. We depend on cheap labor hear to afford to survive. I currently make 32k a year after spending 43k on my education. I am a single father and can barely afford to survive. Arizona has one of the highest unemployement rates in the nation because most Arizonans WILL not get off their asses and work outside in temps surpassing 110 degrees.

And as far as the disorder you inquired about...I believe you are referring to "self defeating personality disorder"

First off, thats total BS. My whole family in Arizona does some sort of labor that "americans dont want to do".

Second off- How could Americans get these "jobs that they dont want to do" if these companies hire the illegals for 1/10th of the price.
Its not that Americans dont want to do the jobs(cause they ARE desperate for them) its the fact that they cant because of the illegals taking their jobs for a fraction of the cost saving the companies money, but keeping the people in the dirt.

Nobody is blaming Obama for our illegal immigration problem, they are blaming him for ignoring the seriousness of the situation, and instead use the situation as a means to garner votes and to use as a means to push whatever agenda it is he is trying topush(Amnesty). Not to mention they are also pissed that instead of doing his job, and cooperating with the states that are being overrun, that he is instead 'suing' the people that are trying to make a difference. He is NOT helping. He is only making matters worse by attacking our own people and burning them at the stake for trying to enforce the laws. They are mad because he sits on his ass talking about crap he knows absolutely nothing about. They are mad because he is slapping citizens in the face and telling them that what they think does not matter, because he knows whats best for us.

It's basic economics...riddle me this, why is it I only see migrant workers outside of Home Depot hoping to be picked up by any weekend warrior trying to paint their house or plant a few trees? Why is it only American's I see standing on the side of freeways begging for spare change? I'm not pushing any BS or any other agenda just stating mere fact. I'm simply stating the other side of page, everyone here seems to think that limitting migrants in through the borders is going to somehow fix unemployment issues. Due the math...I know a few migrants working in the orange fields as well as strawberry patches. They pay them not by hour but by bucket...typicaly it breaks down to about 3 dollars a bucket. A legal worker being taxed however would be making over two times that amount. Which in turn would mean instead of 3.99 for that little box of strawberries, you would now be paying 8 dollars. I like strawberries...but not that much.
