3 Huge Structures on Mars, Photo taken by Mars Rover

Never-mind everyone,
Its just a reflection on the mirror on top of the rover

Interesting photo! Almost looks like a fence running along side those structures.

When I down loaded and brightened up the pic, I can see there is a cross hatched pattern like a garage door on the center object..if that's a genuine pic and it isn't a piece of something from earth that crash landed on the surface, then it is something ...
I wonder what those little dots along the sand ridge are?

Hmmmm trippy,, looks like a roof or umbrella over top the camera.

Or a martian Mcdicks, who knows I'm always down with mars pics though.

OMG!!!! The Mars Rover took a picture of three big rocks. Stop the presses and put us at DEFCON 1, we have rocks on Mars.

Sorry dude, the fish eye lens gives them a weird orientation, but it's just rocks.

ETA: You were talking about the thing at the top center of the screen? My bad, I thought you would know that was a reflection. My bad, sarcasm withdrawn.

I see no structures at the horizon.

Above the horizon you can see the reflection of the rover on the bottom part of the solar panel.

Yeah, I think the little dots could be a fence,

Also if you look at the UFO's they are almost identical mirror images of each other

Great find.

Using a very unscientific approach. I got a piece of paper and marked the center of each 'fence post' dot to see if they were exactly the same distance apart. There is some slight variation between each 'fence post' in distance but this could be due to lens distortion or terrain distortion.

This is a very interesting picture and I want to know what others think.

Use the search bar dude...discussed numerous times.

Can't remember the exact terminology, but it is the 'hood' for the camera...look again at it.


Those structures are just the lining/edging of the 'hood'...and to all of you that say rocks - what a great addition you are to the skeptics of this community.

could it be your looking at the underside of the top of the cover where the camera is in?

Not sure what to say. These are very interesting. Probably the first time I can
say that these are not rocks. Not quite sure what KILL_DOGG was looking
at but I suggest looking again and making sure you zoomed in.

It's gonna take lot more than sarcasm to convince me that those are rocks.

I look forward to hearing other ideas, rather than sarcasm.

as previously stated. The rectangular box and two structures on either side of it are part of the rover itself. That is a refection off of the bottom of the solar panel or some piece of metal. The white area that looks like sand is actually the sky. The horizon is only 2/3rds the way up the screen.

While not rocks, it is still an optical illusion.

As for the rolls of toilet paper/ cushioning. I don't know.

Yeah, this really had me saying "OMG!!!!!" until I realized the illusion. Oh well, would have been cool.

(it's the 'umbrella' or whatever. The 'building' in question is just the angle on the umbrella. If you look at the shadow, you can see the shape of it. And what looks like the 'sky' I just the underside of the umbrella.)

Damn!!

I thought I would color this for folks who do not see what it is initially.

Its a CAMERA'S ROOF, It even has a shadow.
