Hello Steve welcome to ATS. I am taking you at face value that you are who you say you are. I was the one who copied and pasted (and I also edited out large chunks) of your story from the old Rendlesham forum (that has now disappeared). A very intriguing read.

It's such a complicated case that a few paragraphs really won't answer your question in any detail.
The lighthouse theory (coupled with a number of other astronomical events) is the baby of astronomer Ian Ridpath. All of the main witnesses say the lighthouse was not what they saw and cannot explain, radar returns, equidistant indentations on the ground, blue lights, exploding lights etc....etc.
Some of the USAF personnel were fairly new to the base and many had not been out into the forest itself (which is where the incident(s) took place). Rendlesham forest came under UK jurisdiction as well so US troops would normally have no reason to venture out there. So not all of them would be familiar with the lighthouse. However there is plenty of testimony highlighted earlier in the OP of the thread that , if true, makes the lighthouse irrelevant.

Upon inspection the next day they'd probobally discovered it was indeed ravers out for a christmas party, and with Cold-War tensions at the time they were told to fabricate a story so the Soviets weren't aware of the Base weakness. This led to the fabrication of the imprints, hieroglyphics and radiation samples, none of which were ever real.
If you can prove it sir, or provide a link which discusses something similar at least then I'll definitely give it a read and maybe believe you.
Obviously nothing thats been mentioned by reports or accounts since the Rendlesham Forest incident occurred. I suspect its because anyone who organised the rave/party would be liable for trespass if they ever owned up to causing it. Its just my own personal theory, from experience with these things.
