Media coverage of immigrant threat spreads to canada?

I browse the news and this board a lot, and i have obviously noticed the amount of media attention being brought on the issue of illegal imigrants. I just had the toronto star crash through my window, and on the front page i see "more ships coming".

This has never been a publicized thing in canada, but i know as long as i've lived we have been letting in hordes of people who come in need of salvation or whatever. But it seems like a big media push to have it on the front page, and coinciding with the stuff thats going on in america.

Not saying that anyones out to get us. but it does seem like a media distraction as usual, or just another way to get our hard earned worthless cash?
