Leave it to Fox to claim the American Public is against Wikileaks.

Once again, the right wingers prove they're a bunch of douches.

its like advertising. just look at how most of you are responding to this. its basic reveres psychology
on that note i wounder what it is lol

That may be, but it's not intentional. Also, Fox News viewers/fans won't be interested. Anything Fox morons say, Fox brainwashed viewers do.

If Fox bashes it, you can be assured the viewers won't be interested. Instead, they'll go out repeating whatever they hear on the network. Lies and propaganda.

Believe nothing the media says. It is all a CIA front. Google Operation Mockingbird. There is nothing in the media to learn, and you really don't get news in the US anyway. You only get what comes through the AP/Reuters bottleneck.

It can't ALL be a CIA media front if parts of the media disagree with each other.

As I was unfamiliar with Operation Mockingbird, I read up on it a bit. In the wikipedia article I found this line, which points out that the CIA was not some all-powerful monster controlling everything:

John McCone, the new director of the CIA, also attempted to stop Edward Yates from making a documentary on the CIA for the National Broadcasting Company (NBC). This attempt at censorship failed and NBC went ahead and broadcast this critical documentary.

And, since the 1970s, according to that article, Op. Mockingbird is dead or going under another name. Your point still stands of the CIA's influence, but it isn't omnipotent.

It's hard to reason with people who take the news as fact. It's very much a losing battle. Even kids these days grow up in school getting their news from a TV (in my school, it was Channel 1 news) or a newspaper. It's really hard to convince children to be skeptical; it confuses them. I think the ability to really critically think and be skeptical comes later in life, but still in few people. Also, some people (*ahem*) go overboard and just trust nothing and live in fear their entire lives.

The only ones opposed to sites such as Wikileaks are the ones who have something sinister to hide. Contrary to popular opinion, We the People are the ultimate branch of government. The fact that our government has been subverted to a system where We the People are only told *what we need to be told* only makes sites such as Wikileaks that much more necessary for We the People to see what the criminals who purport to be our *authorities* are doing in OUR name.

Turn on the light and then watch the cockroaches scurry for cover.

No it isn't. Maybe the idiots, yes. But for anyone in their right mind who isn't brainwashed, they're not against him.

Thats quite the bold statement there, jack.

Im against Wikileaks because that jackass of a founder openly admits to doctoring his evidence in order to further his political agenda.

HE ADMITS TO IT.

So before you go calling someone else brainwashed and out of their mind, perhaps you should consider why you still believe a man who tells you, publicly that he's LYING TO YOU.

Bold but true. I've done my own "polls" and no one is anti-wikileaks except the truly blind. Funny how all these media outlets do polls all the time. They never poll me. Or anyone I ever knew. So I don't believe the polls. Considering mainstream media is propaganda, I realize that anything on the TV is allowed there by the powers that be. I also realize that Wikileaks would have just been a here today gone tomorrow underground website that no one would hear about unless the mainstream media picked up this story. Whether or not Assange is a government plant working for the restriction of the Internet, or an independent webmaster working towards transparency in government via whistleblower material, the conspiracy I present is that Fox News is feeding propaganda to the masses and the comments on the article are likely fabricated by paid employees of government. Thanks for the input.

If Julian Assange does not have a political agenda of his own to advance, then so be it.

If he has one, then I would not buy the Afghan War Diary.

Mr. Assange knows that he is on the Pentagon's hit list, so he may be on our side, for now.

Anyone remember when he leaked a bunch of info on the IED defense technology our soldiers use to stay alive, while an insurgent somewhere gets numb fingers from pressing the button on that remote detonator.

I have a theory that he's not so much releasing the truth as much as its his version of the truth. And anything that can help the enemy is a good thing to right? I'll have a beer when they snatch this fruitcake.

"his first document dump has left him with virtually no support."

I wonder how fox news come to this concluding statement..........I mean there are still tons of wikileaks supporters out there, including me.

I'm guessing Wikileaks was planted to CAUSE scandals about national security in the first place.Let's see, Jay Rockefeller wants to take the internet from us, there's proof of this on the web, here's the video on this page Video from Jay Rockefeller halfway down page and here is a site with his video AND a 2009 Bill proposition to take internet away from the people.
Rockefeller Cyber Security Bill S778 (with videos)
I have been sitting back for quite awhile now watching this Wikileaks thing and just waiting, waiting, waiting to see if anyone would say it. They did not. All I hear is how great Wikileaks are to do this, to leak ostensibly imperative niformation to the public and automatically they are on our side. #1) Who says it's sensitive material.....just because it's sensitive to US? It may mean NOTHING to the elites. It may all be staged. My point is this.........If no one else is going to say it, I WILL. They are most likely using Wikileaks to appear to spill sensitive leaks so they can say that the internet is so dangerous that it is causing the death of troops, and CIA agents and whatever else they spill. These sacrifices to the elites are a small price to pay to remove our freedoms of speech and the ability to find out "real" information on them. Remember people, how they work! PROBLEM, REACTION, SOLUTION. (The problem)....Wikileaks, (the reaction), death of troops, supposed terrorists mining the internet for leaked information, etc. (The SOLUTION)....take the internet away from the people as per Jay Rockefeller's Bill SS73 and SS78 (notice the 'SS' were have we seen that before?) anyway, they will create a central server and disallow any sites like this to discuss government workings and all free speech will be filtered out unless it's positive propaganda for the gov't. All commercial sites will be allowed to do business (as this is residual gov't money) and ANYTHING anti-gov't or anything they don't want the people to see (no matter hoe tyranical) will be filtered out and not seen. Wikileaks is the beginning of and equvalent of a digital book burning. We are NOT sheep people, don't get so caught up in what they show you that you can't see what they are actually doing. Always ask, in everything that happens.......what does the NWO have to gain from this....not the REPUBS...not the DEMOCRATS....they are irrelevant monkeys dancng for the masters. Look on a world scale and always ask....WHAT DOES THE NWO GAIN FROM WHAT'S GONG ON RIGHT NOW?

How do you support wikileaks? are they asking for donations? lol cmon wikileaks better hope they have something big or theyre going to run out of "documents", their "truth" movement will lose steam and they will be forgotten and eliminated by the men in black lol Assange better have something that proves who was behind 911 or Osama bin Laden's identity after plastic surgery, Barry's birth certificate in Kenya, Area 51 UFO and alien expose, the antichrist revealed, Barry Bonds was set up by the government to cover up the fact that the super soldier serum( Captain America?) was actually tested on the american populace in secret through hotdogs ( Babe Ruth?) and has found its way into the general public; proving once again that the PTB shadow government is concocting a world takeover scheme that involves nuclear armaggeddon and is increasing the american public's resistance to radiation by steroids..... lol

Those documents must be affecting Rupert Murdoc's investments with some defense contractors so he has his mindless little news presenters whip this smear campiagn up in order to shore up his money.

There is something going on with that comments section.

I logged in through my facebook account and submitted a comment. It has not shown up.

In my comment I said Julian and Bradly Manning were Heros and deserve metals. I said if the released documents show corruption in our military they need to be public and we need serious changes in Government to fix these problems.

So, my post don't show up but all the hateful post do?? Are they purposely only letting post in that conform to the articles view?

Reading over those comment is frightening. Some people think there is fools and hate on ATS.. ATS has nothing on these guys.

These people seem like they completely swallow the government propaganda an have no brains to think fo themselves.

Welcome to 'net neutrality'.

Net neutering.

Welcome to the machine.

Fox News

Leading headlines stating false facts they wish were true in order to make them true.

I concur and all the media uses so-called polls during pre- elections, for candidates and propositions, and have been for years.
