Why should this not surprise anyone, especially when the healthcare reform was written behind closed doors without any Repulican support.

Why was there not any Republican support?

There was no Republican support whatsoever. The Democrats actually did incorporate a lot of GOP ideas into the Health Care Bill, however, the GOP didn't want you to know that, they made it seem like they were left out, but the GOP had absolutely no intention of bipartisanship.

The six Republican ideas already in the health-care reform bill

Reform's big secret: Health bill's full of GOP ideas

But keep on "catapulting the propaganda"

See bipartisanship is a two way street, if the GOP doesn't reciprocate, it doesn't work! The GOP has proven that in no way they are going to even attempt to try and work with the Democrats.

So I say, you know what? Screw it, if the GOP wants to be obstructionist, then the POTUS and Congress needs to grow a pair and tell them all to just piss off. The Democrats need to move on with their agenda that they were elected into office for and just leave those GOP non co-operational asses sitting in the dirt.

I had an idea for all you americans wondering how to remedy your current government problem without breaking the law.

It might be a good step forward to create an 'average joe' owned & run independant organization take poll's of public opinion across the country, and send the results to EVERY media outlet that exists, bar none.

Poll them on their feelings about the government, how it could change for the better, suggestions etc, take this issue, make it as public & commonplace as discussing the last episode of a sitcom around the watercooler at work...so to speak....you could develop this into a regularly distributed medium acting as a broad nation wide thinktank by collecting, displaying & discussing ideas specifically regarding the entire remodelling of the system your nation functions through.

just a thought.

GhostLancer, I believe you are putting a little bit too much faith in the idea that Obama set out to fix America. If you look at his career, some of his actions as senator, his comments before, during, and after his campaign, it suggests (at least in my opinion), that this man was groomed for this and he knew that he was. That does not add up to a U.S. president who's intentions are to work in the best interest of the people.

I'd bet this exact description fits many political "up and comers". I do not see it as exclusive to Obama.

I agree JFK wanted to be a good president. But - was he honestly elected or chosen.

The President has been very transparent throughout his presidency so far; It has been very easy to see through all of his lies.
That is the transparency everyone was told we would see from the White House during the campaign.

Darn play on words from him.

Some people are so brain dead for actually supporting a big piece of nothing.

Let's see what happens!
it's simple, Obama pulled from the old elitists playbook...law #27:

Play on People’s Need to Believe to Create a Cultlike Following People have an overwhelming desire to believe in something. Become the focal point of such desire by offering them a cause, a new faith to follow. Keep your words vague but full of promise; emphasize enthusiasm over rationality and clear thinking. Give your new disciples rituals to perform, ask them to make sacrifices on your behalf. In the absence of organized religion and grand causes, your new belief system will bring you untold power.

Wow, is this surprising??? I'm not that old but I remember Bush Sr. saying no new taxes what did we get? Clinton saying he didn't inhale, really? (not that it matters), Bush jr stating Iraq had WMDs.....hello they lie all the time! They lie to get what they want and when they get it they do what they want......and the sad part is we let them.....we need to say if your a rep or dem we aren't voting for you and we shouldn't even if we dont like the so called third party views.....theres a better chance they are more honest than the first two

Actually, I don't think anybody stopped to ask obama exactly what kind of "Change" he was talking about. The "Hope" part was actually a hope that nobody would catch on to what he really wanted to do till it was too late.

transparency has not existed since.....lincoln died? seriously, republicans democrats. All the same institution in the end. add a 3rd party,a catalyzer, to bring balance or something.Thats the real change.

Everytime a new president is elected, is there like,a group that has a chat on the first day telling them "heres the itinerary Mr.President". Hes no antichrist or false prophet.Thats a very american way to see the world. But he is a phony.

I applaud the idea, but then the practical nature of the job got the better of him. What should/should not be disclosed, can I a. get away with it, b. lose my job over it, c. would they even understand it anyway? Is there anyway we can fund another reality TV show instead? Shirley Sherrod survivor series maybe?

Wow. Closing a curtain on a closed door, anyway.

How is this new boss better than the old boss?

I don't even need to list the stuff that the new boss is doing, that is the same as the old boss, do I?

If you think I do, then you just haven't been paying attention for very long, have you? Or, maybe, you are still caught up in the left/right, Democrat/Republican paradigm.

Meanwhile, the search feature is your friend, if you want it to be.

Good luck, y'all! I am sure I will need it, too!

why can't any of you republicans use a news source that isn't biased?

if I just read everything on this website, I would think the US was falling apart, too.

oh and the best part, surprise surprise, I can't find another news source reporting this.

why does this seem to happen every time there's another obama thread?

because none of you have half a brain to double check your own sources.

great job.

I think you made a great point, it seems that America will run into the hands of the Repuglycans, I might add that they seem very happy to do so.

The Tea Party thinks Bush was hero, whoever they put up there next may well make GWB look like a Saint.

Whatever happens, they deserve it, I am ashamed, not my Country or Government but of my fellow Americans.
