Possibly...among other things like satellites.
I've never been there myself.

Is it illegal to let go of balloons now? There are going to be a lot of 5 year olds in jail.

Yes in some states and lol phage they aren't 5 years olds a five year old wouldn't do this.

If they can back up there statement they would arrest whoever put the balloon right?

Wrong, there is no law about hoaxing the gullible UFO believers that think any light they see in the sky is a UFO flown by aliens.

Just what charge do you want them to arrest the people who launched the balloon on?

So what is the point of this thread?

Who exactly is getting desperate here?

Did the OP post this video with the knowledge that it was a hoax?

So many questions, so little time!

lol, Phage,
Pretendin like he's 100% sure again.

They do kinda look to be 'swaying, or swiveling around,
But in reading the comments,
there are a few people in there who also saw this that night..

here is one~

i was actually there to witness this. i deliver new papers in that area every morning. while i was delivering one of my customers stopped me and told me too look in the sky.. there we're these 5 lights.. we were looking at it from the side.. it looked triangular. we watched it for about 30 mins then i had to get back to work. i got about 2 block away and saw a good crowd of people just looking up and i got out of my car and looked up again and i was underneath it. at that time i was standing in the same area the video was taken.. stood there for a good half hr and it didnt really move.. and the other people watching it said they have been watching it for 3 hrs and it didnt move. Also one of the guys watching said that this ufo was in the same spot the night before. so i dont this could be any type of balloon. from underneath it was kinda of cigar shaped with those lights along the bottom of it. And This Video Isnt A Fake.. the channel 5 film crew actually came to video tape the ufo them selves

So, How do balloons stay in the same place for 3 hours?
Not to mention the hour alone that this newspaper guy watched it.?

3 hours in one place?
and it was also seen the previous night?

Tethered to the ground?

and then this guy~

This is not what I saw. What I saw disappeared 23 minutes before this was taped. And although similar in description, what I saw looked completely different.

lol, who knows.

Maybe this is "anonymous" b/tards trying their "UFO hoax? lol

Exactly. If people would actually watch the videos Phage gave, they'd see that the balloons went out of focus very fast(same as the Chinese lanterns really.) These things, on the other hand, stay there seemingly forever.

Also, I love how every post by Phage automatically gets stars. I bet maybe maybe not is in each one of them, "maybe" the first one too.

I call for a change of title to this post from 'Minnesota UFO causing interest-----debunkers growing desperate' to 'Minnesota UFO causing interest-----believers growing desperate'.

Since the OP stated this as a title with nothing to back it up and then had his evidence proven to be nothing more than a hoax.

You can't make a claim like this and then say 'Oops, sorry there. Still let's keep the title pulling in mindless believers shall we?'.

Whilst this may be the case there is nothing in the video to show the 'debunkers growing desperate' element of your thread title.

It would be rather sporting of you to at least remove that part from the title or better yet replace it with 'believers jump on an chance to believe' or something similar.

Not looking for submission here, just for fair treatment.

A couple of years ago, kids in my country started a fashion for flying kites at night, with lights attached a regular intervals along the kite-string.

Miles-long alien starship, there you go.

This thread is cracking me up. The OP begins with the title of "Minnesota UFO causing interest----debunkers growing desperate" ....as if it was real.

Next thing you know one of our resident "experts" comes along and all of a sudden its "Idiot Hoaxers", "Hoaxers are stupid", FAIL etc.

My bet says had it been a non-ATS deity that had spoken up with a plausible explanation this would still be in hot debate.

And watch, tomorrow the same thing will happen again...different thread, different video, different photo...priceless.

Some of these guys should get into politics.

It is very clear the vast majority of UFOs are hoaxes or normal aircraft

Fixed it for you

Can we get a group of ATSers to call that stupid station and tell them to remove that story.

This is all thanks to IAN PUnnet who got this story big that IDIOT

The station corrected the story hours after it ran it. Yesterday when this was first posted I went to see the video and I found the correction before I even saw the video. So calm down, it's taken care of.
