Why is that not plausible? The movement in unison seems to actually support that theory.

The news link seems pretty convinced too.

I tried that trick as a kid putting lights on a balloon, its not plausible because the lights in the balloon or on cause heat which may end up causing the balloon to crash, and the balloon cant stay in the air to long.

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS received several tip calls about blinking lights over the city. St. Paul police say the strange phenomenon was just a homemade weather balloon with some lights in it.

Trusting the police is like trusting the government with lame cover ups nice try.

If they can back up there statement they would arrest whoever put the balloon right? well guess not since its a cover up.

LEDs work pretty well. And most important, the poodle dog is not the least bit interested. Everyone knows that if there is a UFO around dogs go nuts.

Is it illegal to let go of balloons now? There are going to be a lot of 5 year olds in jail.

LED ballons are cheap for hoaxers who do not WORK

but they are not very impressive hoaxes

why do they not at least do a better job

HOAXERS usually are very dumb or never have any money.

so usually they end up using the cheapest method

its why they fail so much
