I'm glad you are a proud sociallist! If you would please volunteer to pay my share for those who aren't willing to work, I would appreciate it, Would like to keep as much of my own hard earned money as possible. There need to be more people with your philosiphy! If every person who didn't deserve to be on social programs though were, had one hard working sociallist to support them, It would free up billions for those of us who diagree with you.

just as i predicted ! ...and to answer your question ! nope its not going to happen no matter how much you feel the need to comlain here ! their is nothing you can do ,so your rant = poop , but ill tell you what i think! you must be in a tight spot with your money if your venting the way you are and begging for a thank you ! your a sad man so keep dreaming mr walker !

dreamwalker74,

I guess every banker, CEO or major stockbroker thought the same as you only they thought:" scr*w you and your "thank you", we'll just take the money of all those hard workers who are willing to settle for a mere "thank you" instead".....

So from all the guys at headquarters, thank you for working so hard. It is highly appreciated.

Peace

Really? That's the most intelligent reply you could come up with? Not justifying your response? Not arguing your political stand point? Not saying "I work my butt off every day so that all others can prosper." Really? Nothing? Wow good resposnse. Although I did like the "Mr. Walker" I just might use that, so thank you, and thank you for your intelligent response,

And when you lose your job, during the course of which you paid into your state's unemployment fund via taxes, will you decline assistance? Or when you turn 65 and begin to recieve SSI checks for which you paid into for decades, will you return them? Or Medicare subsidies when you've come of age and require more extensive medical care than you do now? If so, then you sir are a hypocrite of the first order... if not, you're a fool...

I would like to personally thank you. I thank you for reminding me how self-serving and pretentious some people in this country can be. I thank you for reminding me that some people can become so embittered by the fact that life didn't work out the way they wanted that they can freely take it out on those even less fortunate than they.

I realize some people abuse the "system." I also realize that many don't. And since the ones that didn't put their own money into it, I think I can speak for them when I say no one in that group does, or should, give a rats ass what you think - deal with life's dissapointments in whatever way you wish, just don't be so arrogant that you expect them to owe you a damn thing.

Oh, and for the record, I'm not unemployed, I don't collect SSI and I am sorry - for those around you if this is how you would treat people you don't even know.

With two-thirds of everyone's personal income taxes wasted or not collected, 100 percent of what is collected is absorbed solely by interest on the Federal debt and by Federal Government contributions to transfer payments. In other words, all individual income tax revenues are gone before one nickel is spent on the services which taxpayers expect from their Government.

The Grace Commission

For quite some time, I have lurked in many many different topics on this site, so this is me initially stepping out to clarify something in light of the information as I understand it. Apparently, our tax money goes nowhere other than to the private owners of the Federal Reserve. Any programs or departments or equipment or arms or whatever, seems to be all on borrowed money regardless. This is pretty much another one of those topics that is there to keep us divided when you guys are arguing a moot point which appears incorrect on both sides. Thank you and I'm sorry. I'll return to my regularly scheduled lurking now.

What an arrogant thread...Why don't you go and do some volunteer work instead of pretending that your extensive work ethic is helping anybody other than yourself, and the 'Man'.

Just to clarify that, the income tax is still what gives the government the leverage to still borrow. Whether direct or indirect, the income tax pays the bills or at least the minimum payment that make programs such as social programs available.

I thank you, others and myself. I am on SSI and Medicaid - I am disabled and no longer able to work. I worked hard and paid into the system for 45 plus years. Please remember in your request for thanks that not everyone on assistance is just taking advantage of the system. Remember the veterans that fought for our country, the disabled and children that are unfortunate no matter why, they are still children and have needs. Just a friendly thank you reminder.

Pretty close to what I wanted to say, so thank you.

Also, I see nothing wrong with a society taking care of its needy and downtrodden.

I have never received government bail out money or social security checks or Medicare payments or any other payouts except for the rebates on taxes we already paid. I would like to thank everyone for continuing to support Medicare and social security for the time being. There is actually one person in my family that has been getting government money and I would like to thank everyone for that. She's been getting Medicare to pay for medical bills and she has been getting social security payments. It's true that her husband paid social security and medicare taxes all his life only to pass away when he was in his 60's. It's true that they had several kids and those kids have had more kids and many of us are paying social security taxes and medicare taxes and none of us have collected one dime of that yet. However I would like to still say thank you for keeping those programs around long enough for one person in my family to get something back.

After saying all that I read the other day that Obama believes Medicare can survive a few more years. Apparently our current government believes in spending like there is no tomorrow and believes everything so many felt entitled to after paying taxes for all their life is theirs for the taking. I believe there won't be hardly any Medicare payments when I'm finally a senior citizen. What about social security? I believe the government will raise the age and cut benefits so much after several years that I can collect only a token payment of what I paid into the system.

In spite of all this I would still like to say thank you for keeping those programs alive hopefully for a few more years. My relative probably won't need any more money after that. I believe our government already knows they are robbing us by devaluing our currency and borrowing and spending like we have no future.

If you believe this to be the case, which it is. What do you intend on doing about it. "no really"? People on this site will talk endlessly about fixing this, but they never will. The best thing we can do is dispute taxes, to the point where we chocke them off. I don't see another way, do you? Though those who are milking the system, continue to perpetuate this and make it that much harder. That is why it is so easy for them.

If he is just saying I had a bad day at work screw everyone I can accept that we all do.

Just we don't get to go to street corner and start calling names and every person that walks by is a slacker.(I say BS to my Comment who am I to attack a man that wants a simple thank you for a hard day of Taxes)

I remind myself all the time that homeless guy is not a slacker he is not getting back what he paid in.

I guess I offered myself up here for a beating because we will never get back what we all have paid in.

You should not get a beating my friend. At least not without back-up None of us will ever get back what we paid in. Though the man who is willing to cheat the system is taking it right now. And there is an awful lot of them.

You know who I am going to say thank you to? Not you. Not to all the hardworking people who paid into the system but dont draw out of it, because I am one too.

I am going to say thank you to whatever God(ess), Gods, Divinity, Fate, Luck, whatever you want to call it, that has made it possible for me to be able to support myself. Yes, I have worked hard. And saved, and lots of other stuff. But its also luck. Luck I was born healthy. Havent been seriously catastrophically ill. Lucky the house I bought sold for more than I paid for it.

And I suggest you do the same. Instead of asking your fellow citizens to thank you for your good fortune, why dont you express some gratitude to whatever it is you believe in for not having to be in their shoes.

And next time you feel the need to badger someone who doesnt deserve a handout, why dont you go to your Congress person and jump all over them about the bailout, and leave the people who are already on the crappy end of the stick alone?
