I've recently come accross some damaging information about another user. It is not flattering information and may discredit the member's arguments in other member's eyes.

Am I allowed to post damaging, personal information even if it sheds light on the motivations behind a member's arguments?

Just want to check before I get banned.

Why the need to personally discredit a user? Debate the post, not the poster... If you cannot do that without making it personal, than that is a concern about you and your motivations, I would think.

Trippy avatar!

What I usually tend to see on ATS is a member bashing another member right to their face. I suppose that is better than going behind their back, which I assume this is what you are talking about here.

No. We do not allow members to post about other members, especially in this manner.

Please read: Courtesy Is Mandatory.

If you have any questions regarding this or any other matter, feel free to U2U myself or any other Staff Member, or use the ATS Complaint/Suggestion Form located in the Member Center and get the full attention of the entire Staff.
