One of CNBC's cadre of analysts they put on the air for a comment came out with something that the network probably will consider its "edgy" quota for the week:

"We're in the equivalent of a Great Depression"

Just logging another voice in the quickly shrinking wilderness of economic doomsayers.

I think this is kinda wordy, saying a depression. I dont think we are yet. I live in southwest CT, looking at yesterdays calssifieds, their were many jobs listed, mostly bus drivers, mechanics for a local GM auto dealer, security officers, banking and office/financial, booking..the last 2 being moreso part time. So its hard to say for me, theirs a depression going on.
for other areas of this country, that i have no idea.
