Crabs are not very bright I once saw one run straight into a beach bon fire!

So now that we know it was Crabs who have caused this disaster in the Gulf what are we going to do about this stupid destructive group of martydom seeking creatures?

That's what I want to know.

I say we declare war on the crabs, we hit them hard now, and we hit them with everything we have!

Why would this be on the news? It would only further prove the incompetence of the Obama Administration, and since CNN, MSNBC and Oprah got him elected, they have to protect their candidate. If I recall correctly, wasn't BP one of the largest contributors to Obama's presidential run, too? You scratch my back...

BRAVO! You get it!

Thinking that the Gulf Coast will go back to what we remember is just Naive'.

It will take more than half a century to begin a true recovery.

Out of sight, Out a mind is for sheepeople.

I for one will not forget what BP and the Federal Government did and what the State Governments did not do.

Don't be a fool, the Gulf Oil disaster is not over by a long shot.

What is this 'IT" that you think he gets?

a small, compartmentalized partisan view of events that attempts to lay blame in one small place instead of seeing its a much larger, overlying issue?

Wrong government, wrong media!

The Gulf of Mexico is largely in the United States and the British Broadcasting Corp has no local affiliate station here in Miami!

Thanks.

This is apparently Obama's public disclosure. link1
Note his retirement holdings include Vanguard(x2) which is known to have sold off BP just prior to the spill. link 2

While I don't really know how much this is worth to the President it is safe to say he did make money form the spill, a head of time.

I'm no expert at this form of money management nor do I know much about the public disclosure of the presidents finances though I know they are supossed to be in a blind trust....Vanguard is that trust?
Maybe someone who knows could verify this.

If this is accurate, it is kinda depressing about how the world works.

That how it appears. A friend of mine went to see if it was true, and if you dig one shovel full of sand up, you will see it. Unreal huh? Greedy bastards!

Indeed. Of course, it will take a good century or so to begin to recover from modern human habitation, as well.

The evidence may indeed point to the oil merely being covered up. But I'd like to point out that even if the oil is cleaned up from the top surface, it is still underneath the surface.

But it does indeed make many of the recent claims about the oil mostly being magically gone a lot less believable.

Exactly. And that goes FAR beyond merely the most recent inhabitant of the WH.

Be wary of those who seek to point blame in only one place. This is way beyond partisanship.

You have that right, if you want news these days we have to rely on BBC or other countries, doesn't mean they are publishing the truth but in most case they are. Last time I looked the BBC didn't have a local affiliate in my area either.

Better watch out for those crabs...

You're right.....I think it will be with us in some form for quite a while. Just like the underwater plumes. I don't think nature can clean things up that fast. All that oil had to go somewhere.

Yep...it's always been that way....greed corrupts many....and they can get away with it because we are so dependent on oil.

You know what amazes the hell out of me is that...while living in California the EPA (and of course everyone's favorite C.A.R.B. "California Air Resources Board") are so damn strict...I mean people would be discouraged/afraid to change their own damn oil on their cars because should ANY...AND I MEAN ANY oil spill onto the ground (like when you undid the filter, or say the stream missed the catch pan or whatever), and your ass either got turned in from someone seeing it, or were observed by the "man" himself...were talking BIG ASS FINES for the common person here!!

While in the military I would use the on base auto hobby shop and do my maintenance/wrenching (they all fitted with hydrologic lifts/special tools/yada yada), and EACH AND EVERY STALL had mop with bucket with special non-toxic de-greaser/cleaner in them, and should you make a small spill...you are to STOP IMMEDIATELY AND GET TO CLEANING before ANY...even the slightest drop of oil could run off.

Now don't get me wrong...I SUPPORTED AND STILL DO SUPPORT responsible wrenching (I will leave out the fact that I did a a/c conversion from R-134 to R-13 or whatever the newest freon is and...whoops lol), BUT...THIS REALLY puts things into perspective ya know? It just goes to show yet another example of how we the enslaved are the ones kept enslaved as it seems that all of the "laws" are written to apply only to US!! Like one could face a $5k fine for accidentally losing a pint of motor oil on the ground YET A MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR COMPANY LOSES BILLONS OF GALLONS OF OIL IN THE OCEAN/GROUND AND....NADA! So they had to pay $30 billion into a compensation fund, and spent a few billion on "clean up" BFD as I have a pretty good hunch that none of that will affect their end year billion $$$ bonuses for their execs :-/

Okay rant off (it just that this sheet pisses me off to no end).

At lake' fire ,boating and was crying when thinking about !@ BP. I really am sorry about the animals and life, genuinly heart sunk about the people.

A friend said I looked stressed, - simply said yeah you don't know the half of it.

People just like to pretend allll is well, that concerns me.

We have made discoveries on this tjhread and I feel like solutions are being suggested and for that - am thankful on this my body birthday.

Now to lay back and stargaze, meditate and pray.

TAlk tomorrow.

Listening to BBC 24 news last week, you would have thought that there were two universes in parallel. Day one was the news "the biggest environmental disaster in history" day two, "Most of the oil has gone, 25% left on the seabed" ??? Of course they were only reporting what had been announced, and even the news anchors said as much as WTF's going on. So this could be the reason in part for the miracle, and not two universes after all
I expect to hear the words, "Redistributed sand due to...." being bandied about soon.
