I am curious to know what the stealthiest aircraft is. Anyone know?

Also what will the future stealth aircraft be like?

The stealthiest aircraft in current world air force inventories, without mentioning the 'unknown/unconfirmed' Black-op Projects aircraft(s), is the F-22 "Raptor".

I thought the B-2,F-22 etc. can be seen on a Doppler radar??

Love that pic, oldie but a goodie...

Anyhow, have to go with Seekerof, the Raptor...of course, as some here know, I'm rather biased, hehe....

Theoretically, yes. But every (decent) military radar in the last 30 years has used the doppler effect. The problem is, what you could theoretically detect (the air currents behind the plane) are miniscule compared with the background from normal atmospheric effects.

If you know EXACTLY what you were looking (when/where/what signature) for you could probably see it, but then you wouldn't need the radar anyway.

The stealthiest aircraft that I know of would have to be the B-2 Spirit. It was design to a much greater tolerance then any other known stealth aircraft. You need to remember the B-2 was design with stealth as a priority. The later planes like the F-22 and F-35 traded some of their stealth for speed and agility, so they would be good fighters.

Why has this been moved to Chit Chat?

Has there been a misunderstanding?

I did not mean for this to be a 'VS' thread. I started this with the good intentions of finding out what is the Stealthiest aircraft. By this I mean by fact - ie - What has the smallest cross section or whatever on radar.
