What would you do if you were ellected POTUS tomorrow?

I am starting this post to see what my fellow Americans, and others around the ATS world, would do/change if they were ellected tomorrow, to be POTUS. (Assuming that you have a Congres and House that will agree with EVERYTHING you suggest. Never happen but lets just assume they are there )

This post is open to ALL ATS members not just Americans. (Please indicate wether or not you are an American or not, as it will be interesting to see how the views go, compairing Americans vs. Non-Americans)

If i were somehow elected President tomorrow, i'd promptly freak the hell out.

Regardless of political leanings or any of that junk, i imagine it to be a tremendously stressful job. The way i imagine it - i take the most stressful job situation i've been in, and multiply it by maybe a billion and that's what i'd expect from being President.

I would sign an executive order removing the fluoride from drinking water. It would still be available to those who wanted it, in tooth paste.

I didn't want to read another thread about the upcoming revolution and speculation and posturing and tough talk. Now that you linked to it, and I read your OP, I see that it is indeed kind of like this thread? Sorry. I'll post in both!

I'm POTUS tonight, first thing tomorrow:
1. Demand a review of all "mandatory sentencing" crimes. I would start getting people out of prisons if they are not a danger to society. Prisons should only be used to protect society, not to provide a "punishment" mechanism.

2. Begin a thorough audit of the current budgeted items and other expense pay outs of the Federal Government. Bring in help from successful private industries that have turned around bad business plans. Appoint a team to give the fine-tooth comb to each Federal Agency and start cutting expenses drastically!

3. Propose a constitutional amendment explicitly outlawing certain taxes, such as property tax, estate tax, etc. In a "free" country, we should have clear property rights and inheritance rights, and we should not have to fear losing those things we worked our whole life to attain!

4. Seek an audience at the UN, and a WorldWide press conference. I would declare the US undying commitment to bringing "inalienable rights" to all the residents of the world. I would extend all the protection of our Constitution to our foreign combatants and prisoners of war. I would guarantee human rights to all people impacted directly or indirectly by the actions of the US, and I would guarantee that if we are going to use our military might on High Moral ground, then we would also extend that morality to all of our actions.********In the same speech, I would declare (much like the Romans) that crimes against the US or its citizens in any part of the world, would be met with overwhelming retaliation! We would do away with "Proportional Response" and go with "Bring The Pain-Retribution" if we are attacked in any way whatsoever!! We vow to use our military might and high moral ground for the good of the world, but do not try us! Do not poke and prod the gentle bear!

I'll add more later.

I'd hand-pick a hundred or so people, commandeer a tv station and link it with radio

and I'd say, ' Ok. Who's with me and prepared to put to the sword all the traitors in Congress so we can take back this nation ? '

Then I'd suggest people arm themselves and march on Washington

Next would be to halt any further 'donations' to Israel

After that, I'd go live and tell the world that our biggest enemies are in Israel - then form a coalition to seize all Israel's nukes


and ban fluoridation from the water


On Day Two I'd impose severe taxes on all imported goods and give tax incentives for companies which reverted to producing in the US rather than asia

Day Three: I'd call a halt to any further immigration and would deport all illegal aliens and any migrant in any US prison

Day Four: I'd start bringing US troops back to the US

Day Five: I'd take control of the media in the US and pay the current owners ten cents in the dollar (to be paid throughout the next 20 years). I'd break-up all monopolistic media holdings and put them up for tender. No company or individual would be permitted to own more than one newspaper and tv station

Day Six: I'd send out troops to seize and destroy all pornography and outlaw production or distribution of same

In an effort to fix our domestic problems before those of Israel's , I'd for

1.) Halt the FED from the Ponzi Scam lending to the US Govt.

2.) Keep our Tax dollars from going to the wealthy owners of the FED and instead spend them here to fix our schools, roads and to keep Firemen, Policemen and Teachers from being laid off.

3.) Stop the wars, bring back the troops to help at our borders. Eliminating the Drug Cartels by using our firepower against them.

4.) Make all drugs available at a fair price through the pharmaceuticals industry eliminating the financial black market drug industry and it's associated crime.

5.) Help Americans get on their feet again by stopping foreclosures and promoting small business creation using money saved from the billions on defense spending.

Thats what I would do as POTUS for starters.

Obama is powerless to enact any of these for if he did he'd end up just like JFK....and he knows it.

If I were elected POTUS tomorrow?.........

Some of the changes that I would institute would be:

1. Withdraw ALL troops from Mid-East war and retask for border security along Mexican/American border.

2. Replace Welfare with Workfare.

3. Institute FEDERAL CCW and Open Carry programs. (legal in ALL states) to anyone WITHOUT a criminal record, or history of mental instability, over the age of 21.

4. No more anchor babies. (any child born to illegals, is an illegal imagrant.)

5. Abolish NAFTA

6. 2 year manditory millitary service, after graduation. Any "school dropouts" will be instantly enrolled in millitary for 2 years, and that 2 years will be millitary school to receive a diploma.

7. A Federally funded bounty on ALL drug dealers.

8. Reinstitute the death penalty for ALL States, If a person is sentenced to death, they get one appeal, to be heard the next day, if the appeal is not upheld, then the person is put to death at midnight that evening.

9. Any employer found to be employing illegal immagrants, will be sent to prison for no less than 2 years, per employee, and shall be personally responsable for all the financial aspect of the deportation off said immagrant(s) (transportation, feeding, and wages for guards etc...)

10. Incentives for any landowner that is willing to put a wind turbine/ solar field, on their property.

11. No more government bailouts for large companies. If they cannot succed on their own then they go under, and someone else will take their place.

12. Do away with Athletic scholarships, all Scholarships will be purely Academic.

13. All public offices will be on a per-deim basis. The official will still be ellected but the official will be paid a set wage for their time to be in that office, and it will be a set amount accross the baord. (a governer in CA will make the same as one in RI, etc...)

14. No foreign company can own any property in America, they can lease/ rent all they want, but not own.

15. No more using our millitary as a world police force.

16. No more federal recogonition of or celebration of racial holidays/ events. (e.g. No more Black History Month/Week, Latin-American History month/week etc.... just AMERICAN History all year long!!!)

17. Any American Company outsourcing production to foreign countrys will be tariffed to bring their goods back into America. Just like any foreign company importing goods into America.

18. The Pledge of Allegiance will be recited at the begining of the school day by ALL students.

19. A new class will be introduced into the school system. PATRIOTISM!!!!!

20. Minimum age for driving will be raised from 16 to 18 years old.

21. Any person caught driving while on phone/texting, will be immediately be arrested, drivers license revoked, for a time, and vehicle will be confiscated, and not returned.

22. Reinstate full funding to NASA with a push for a colony on the Moon, Mars exploration, and space tourism.

This is a good start..... I will no doubt come up with somethings to add later, as well as undoubtedly agreeing with some things that you might come up with..

It would be stressfull! That is for certain. I think that is why the past POTUS' seem to age about 10 years in only 4.

Let them talk "all they want", let them talk till their heads fall off, then laugh at them and ignore them. That way you dont infringe upon their freedom of speech. No one ever said you have to listen.
