Poll doesn't surprise me except that the figure seems a bit low. If there were a real emergency however, most would help out an extreme endangerment situation. Never try to help a child in any way, unless that child is drowning, and on fire, figuratively speaking.

I'd help. I wouldn't care if people thought I was a paedophile; Paedophilia isn't illegal and I wouldn't get punished for it even if people had their suspicions.
