(CNN) -- An FBI webpage quoted an agent calling Mexico's drug cartels more violent than al Qaeda -- a comment sure to grab attention, but which doesn't tell the whole story, the agency said.

The report includes a quote from an unidentified senior agent based in El Paso, Texas, who says, "We think al Qaeda is bad, but they've got nothing on the cartels."

"The quote is the opinion of one FBI agent who lives and works on border violence every day," said Special Agent Jason Pack, an FBI spokesman in Washington. "The FBI does not believe the cartels are any more dangerous than al Qaeda."

The cartels are very brutal and violent, but they haven't hijacked planes, built complex improvised explosive devices or attacked U.S. vessels, as al Qaeda has, Burton said.

---------------

Im not quite sure.

Maybe we should pay the drug cartels a good sum of cash and send them to Iraq, have them fight the "War on Terrorism."

Both are bad, and both should be taken off of this earth.

Dear Oozii

"War on Terrorism." There is no "War on Terrorism." Only what the US establishment created to keep you in line.

You can solve the problem of the drug cartels at a stroke by legalizing the drugs.

These two things are created by the establishment for the establishment for the same reason, to keep you under control.

The drug cartels put a one million dollar reward on Sheriff Joe's head today. That's a big deal!

However, there are one million US youth's on the street selling drug cartel's drugs. Hundreds if not thousands loose their lives monthly on both sides of the border. Almost nothing is being done to stop the nonsense.

The violence increases every day, every month, every year.

One solution would be to secure the border. It worked in Jerusalem, in worked in South Korea. No administration has ever worked to secure the border, not Obama, not Bush, not Clinton, not Bush I, etc, go figure!

Never has legislation been enacted to significantly penalize drug activity.

Never has there been significant military action to inter seed.

Never has there been serious consideration to decriminalize drugs.

All of the above have been considered as reasonable solutions to the across the border drug trade yet nothing has been done and the problem worsens.

It's obviously intended to continue by TPTB otherwise how do you explain the lack of action?

Our Own Government Has Become Our Enemy!

Yup, they're both CIA created and operated.

Goes to show who the real terrorists are.
