Arizona Sheriff: 'Our Own Government Has Become Our Enemy'

www.cnsnews.com

Pinal County (Ariz.) Sheriff Paul Babeu, whose deputies patrol a county along the U.S.-Mexico border, is hopping mad at the federal government.

Babeu told CNSNews.com that rather than help law enforcement in Arizona stop the hundreds of thousands of people who come into the United States illegally, the federal government is targeting the state and its law enforcement personnel.

Pinal County (Ariz.) Sheriff Paul Babeu

Sheriff Babeu is right. AZ is hopping mad at DC.

It cannot get any more clear that the Obama puppet administration wants to use the illegal immigrants and the border insecurity as political footballs and as casus bellis for the implementation of the NAU supernation.

What good is a government if it doesn't do its job?

I would've been pissed off too, if this happened in my country and my government failed to act on it.

Wouldn't you be? If someone kept breaking into my backyard to walk through to another street, some stealing, and ALL of them unknown to me, I think I'd have a problem with it.

It's hard to not feel like this sheriff is a "gun-toting redneck", that much is true. However, just because he sounds a bit ungainly doesn't mean he doesn't have a valid point. He (like most of AZ) are ticked that their rights have been trampled on, and for so long.

Instead of coddling to illegals, maybe the feds should support a state when they say they need help? What is this country coming to when undocumented illegals have more say-so than the legitimate government in their own home state?

We can't support our country under the banner of socialism/communism/marxism.

Making everyone happy leads to the creation of nothing.

It's a shame that these people get the bad rap, but they asked for it when they came in illegally. It's also a shame that these people are unknowingly going to be used for votes once Amnesty happens. After that, expect the Dems to do NOTHING for them unless it helps their chance at reelection.

BO has passed whatever he's wanted to, whenever he's wanted to, and quickly. It's nearly as bad as Hitlers power was in Germany. If he can rearrange as much as he has, with all the dems sucking his teat he's unstoppable. He didn't give two *hits and an $%# about the oil spill untill he knew it could affect votes.

(Shakes head) I'm about to leave this country for good. An that is BEFORE the tax increases have hit yet. If this is all they have to offer me (a bunch of excuses and future debt) there is no reason to stay. They would rather have this country in the hands of illegal Mexican immigrants if this is the feds true response.

He just figured that out?

The government has been doing NOTHING about the borders since WW2.

Reagan gave the illegals an amnesty.

Clinton and Bush wanted to give the illegals an amnesty.

And now Obama wants too.

There's also the plans for the NAU since 2005.

But all this wasn't THAT bad... compared to today WHERE THERE'S A CIVIL WAR IN MEXICO. RIGHT ON THE BORDER.

Mexican gangs bringing drugs, kidnapping and killing Americans. Shooting over the border. Claiming ATZLAN and all that BS...

The difference between before and NOW is that there's a war on the border and the government is doing nothing about it.

The Afghan-Pakistan border is more secure than the Mexico-US border for godsake, not everywhere but you get the message.

What the feds are doing, more like aren't doing, is high treason.

If the Chinese were massing troops on Mexico border to invade and the feds were doing nothing, it would be high treason.

This is the same thing.

Maybe the states should start creating their own armies and start saying that the feds have been bought off by the Mexican cartels... because they are protecting them. Or the truth is THE CARTELS WORK FOR THE US GOVERNMENT.

I'm of the option to meet them at the boarder, march them straight to the enlistment office for Marines or Army, and let earn the right to be here, once service has been completed, Discharge papers will enculd your Green Card, Women as well. Fight for the right, or turn around. Fair exchange I might say!

Otherwise, as I see it, not looking good!

Meantime, make sure jobs that are available, don't go to them, cheap labor, can be had for those that are sucking off the tit from our welfare systems by Americans, if not you, send your teenager to the fields and make them work.
It's call Grit, not to many have it these days.
I worked 8-10 hours a day when I was 16-17 years old bailing hay for a $1.00 a hour in the late 60's-70's.

As adult, never been unemployed for over a Month in my life! Dispite what I had to do keeping shelter and food for my family!

Yes if I had to, I'd accept that 7-8 bucks a hour if it called for it today.
But some, won't belittle themselfs to do so.. how sad.
Take the jobs away from them, put American back to work, then there will be no reason to be here.. stay in Mexico.. Allot of our past jobs are there now.

I'm sadden by the lack of insight our Gov-ment has.
Boneheads, all of them!

Be Wise!
Be Well..

Thing is, it's not just the Obama administration, it's been going on for a lot longer than that and previous administrations are just as guilty of wilfully ignoring it. Now however, people have just had enough and are proposing actually doing something about it, against the federal government's wishes.

Anything the government now proposes, like sending 1200 National Guard troops to the border, is just window dressing and unhurried. atoken for the media, nothing more.

Don't forget, the flow of illegal drugs puts a lot of money, after laundering through big banks, into the economy, which is used by gangsters, banksters and politicians alike (is there really much difference between them?), so they are reluctant to stamp it out. What's a few $Billion spent on departments fighting the "War on Drugs" verus the Hundreds of Billions laundered?

Not to mention the political issues about immigration, which help to divide the people and keep them looking the other way while the bankers and politicians continue to rob them.

Well, one thing that would really help things is if we no monger had a political party in power over us. We have only two choices up till now, Dems or Reps, and neither does a satisfactory job of doing things, instead they follow agendas and line their bank accounts with dirty money. The Dems want the Mexican immigrant's vote, and they want them to pay into Social Security to refund it, so again it can be robbed. Friends, the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, INC owes the American people more money than is in the world today, and we need to break the corporation first and foremost. We the People are the power here, the government works for us, not the other way around. The government is not our master, nor our boss, they are our servants, and must serve our needs and desires for our fair country.

Sounds to me like the Sheriff is awake, but still groggy. If he realized that the Soetoro administration is likely complicit in the immigration problems we are having due to backdoor deals with Mexico then he'd be truly awake.

It seems clear to me that our federal government is allowing and by omission of action creating a crisis that amounts to a false flag event that they hope will eventually lead to martial law, a North American Union, or both.

If the feds sent troops to the Arizona border, their function would likely be to ensure that no one interferes with the flow of drugs, weapons, terrorists, and human trafficking operations.

This would be too visible if done out in the open, and that is likely the only reason that the Feds have done nothing, but try to stop Arizona from protecting itself. If the feds act openly, they show their hand and will have an armed revolution on their hands, because it won't be able to hide behind it's lies and doublespeak anymore.

So then from the governments point of view that would make this sheriff a "domestic enemy" then. Time to round him up and ship him off to the fema camps.

No, they don't. Pinal County is NOT "along the U.S.-Mexico border." It's about a hundred miles from it.

Check the map: en.wikipedia.org...

Just more proof that CNSNews is garbage.

Babeu recently appeared on a NeoNazi radio show. At least he knows how to pander to his base. www.thepoliticalcesspool.org...

Sure, John McCain walked along the border with Babeu for a campaign commercial...but that wasn't in Babeu's county.

www.kgun9.com...

Santa Cruz County Sheriff Tony Estrada is calling the ad that features Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu misleading. The campaign ad was filmed in Nogales, Arizona. In the ad, Babeu turns to McCain and says, "Senator you're one of us."

But Estrada says Babeu is not really like one of him, a border sheriff. Babeu is from Pinal County. Estrada says the ad is also misleading because fighting illegal drugs and people smugglers is much more dangerous on the front line of the battle field than what Babeu experiences in his jurisdiction two county lines away.

And the ACTUAL sheriff of that county has withdrawn his endorsement of McCain due to McCain's support of 1070.

I don't deny that Babeu has to deal with illegal immigration...but he does not hesitate to misrepresent himself. And CNSNews is completely unreliable, since they apparently can't even do a Google search to vet an article.

What a rapier wit. Do you have a seat at the Algonquin Round Table?

Throwing around supposedly witty comments about someone's name doesn't really add anything to the conversation. And it looks like an 8-year-old hijacked your account.

Please don't contribute to the subzero level of discourse we already have to deal with.

Also, the irony in calling the president "Dumbama" when there were numerous spelling errors in your post has not been lost. Try Firefox - it automatically spell checks what you type.

Just think about it...

We send troops across seas to protect our oil investment.
25,000 at a time.

No one is coming home.

With the war being waged down in Mexico, where are our troops?

In Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, and the other Oil, Opium and Heroin capitals.

Protecting our borders?
Yeah...right.

If this gov't was a legal, legit process...they would've had this solved decades ago.

How a president does not see the need for protecting border security is beyond me, surely defending your borders is important regardless who is on the other side of it - simply to protect your own like every country does makes common sense! ....doesn't it?

"The U.S.–Mexico border has the second highest number of both legal and illegal crossings of any land border in the world, behind the Canada – United States border"

Give it up guys!

The Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency expects to deport about 400,000 people this fiscal year, nearly 10 percent above the Bush administration's 2008 total and 25 percent more than were deported in 2007. The pace of company audits has roughly quadrupled since President George W. Bush's final year in office.

Deportation Increases Under Obama

Give the man SOME credit guys!

There are currently more Border Patrol agents "than ever before in the history of this country." PolitiFact has noted that Obama has been "increasing the number of border patrol officers." Indeed, in a July 22 hearing of the House Committee on Homeland Security, Michael Fisher, Chief of the U.S. Border Patrol, stated, "Currently we have over 20,000 Border Patrol agents nationwide, more than ever before in the history of the country." A Customs and Border Protection document states that the 2010 budget included $19.4 million for 123 new Border Patrol agents and support staff. The Obama administration's 2011 budget states, "An increase of $44.8M is requested to fund 318 Custom and Border Protection Officers FTEs [Full-Time Equivalent] within the Office of Field Operations and 71 support FTEs for CBP." From the Arizona Republic:

FACTSNEWS NOT FAKENEWS

Why do you guys hate this man so much? Here is your real problem. The GOP doesn't want immigration reform because it's another win for Obama.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, the sole Republican working on a bill to legalize illegal immigrants, in effect put the bill on the shelf on Tuesday, saying that a debate now would destroy any prospects for passage and that the issue needs to wait until 2012.

Graham thumbs nose at AZ and the American people.

This has become not a government for the people but against the people. Planed and premeditated for years. Who now could be surprised as we watch our constitutional rights fade away daily. Yet millions are still blind to much of this fraud. Why? Media, (crap) food they eat, dumb way down by subcultures that care nothing but for the satisfaction of "their needs" only. This nation (whats left of it) has become the greatest insidious fraud and pack of lies the world has ever witness (on this scale for sure).

Anything involving MONEY goes through congress folks. If AZ passed that law the next thing would be them asking for a federal handout to defray cost.

Exactly what is the GOP's plan on illegal immigration? Oh let me guess! Let Palin, Brewer, FakeNews and Sheriff LoonyTunes fight their battles for them.

GOP are cowards. Just like Weiner said.

Mmm no. The GOP and most americans don't want THIS immigration reform BECAUSE IT'S NOT, I REPEAT NOT, a REAL immigration reform.

And give me a break deportation increases under Obama. Since ICE have been created, DEPORTATIONS have been going up EVERY YEAR.

And the border patrol agents rise is a good thing, but come on now, what the border needs is not border patrol agents, IT'S TROOPS.

And also LEGALIZATION OF MARIJUANA.
