Hi GeeDee,
It's interesting you mention that, I read the same article and have tried it twice now, and I have to say that yes, it does work.
I didn't have noise cancelling headphones, so I just used a pair of ear plugs. One thing about the ping pong balls – they don't fit very well
over the eyes, so get some white blue tack and put it around the edges. This ensure a nice snug fit.
Putting the 'goggles' on is a very strange experience. White everywhere, and no matter where you look, just white, white and more white. It almost
feel like the scene in the Matrix when Neo is in the computer world (sorry I can't be more precise, I haven't seen that movie for ages).
After about 5 minutes (although it's kinds hard to judge time when you're in there) I started to see basic geometrical shapes appearing. In turn, I
found I could manipulate these to spin and move. These quickly evolved into fractal patterns and once again, I was able to control these patterns
very easily. The most interesting thing for me was what followed: The fractal shapes zoomed out (under my control) and from this a life like vision
appeared. Unfortunately, at this point my consciousness kicked in and dispelled it.
The same thing happened with my second attempt.
I'm trying again tonight, and hope to be able to control myself enough to go further thru. Ill keep you updated. Thanks for this thread, but I also
have to give kudos to onlyinmydreams as well, for starting
Ganzfeld Experiments
Cheers
Shane
EDIT TO ADD - I should clarify that I wanted to use this method to experience visions, not to test any part of ESP. So far, it's been surprisingly
easy to induce them.
