Ok folks, I know we've all heard plenty of BP's Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf. It has turned out to be America's worst oil spill and possibly our greatest environmental catastrophe ever.

However, a funny thing has happened since that tragic day in April... I keep seeing headlines for epic oil spills in OTHER parts of the world that are characterized as a country or region's worst. Now I must ask- what the hell is going on here???

Here is the breakdown/tally...

#1: The Deepwater Horizon spill - April 20th

#2: Oil leaks into creek in Salt Lake City - June 12th

#3: China's worst-ever oil spill threatens wildlife as volunteers assist in clean-up - July 16th

#4: Michigan Oil Spill Among Largest In Midwest History: Kalamazoo Spill SOAKS Wildlife - July 26th

Perhaps it is coincidence, perhaps it is conspiracy, perhaps it's a message from god, perhaps it is a message from the flying spaghetti monster, perhaps reporting of oil spills has become more pronounced, perhaps companies are becoming more lax believing the frenzy of the Gulf spill will provide cover for their own mistakes... who knows?

What are your thoughts? Got any more to add to the list?

the oil belt has pressure, what will happen to a balloon that has many micro holes ?

when you poke enough holes the pressure will send you back to hell, the oil companies one day will drill a hole that will never be sealed even with the nuclear bomb.

these oil problems are because the belts pressure is changing, somewhere in the world where the belt has a weak point, it will have horrible ending

I was just talking about this to somebody today. It does seem quite odd. Don't forget the oil tanker that blew in the Congo. There's another one. Probably more things that we don't know about.

talk radio just announced a tug boat in Louisiana clipped a oil well,
so now theres another well leaking into gulf waters...

perhaps this will be used to confuse the issue of just how much oil pollution is from the deepwater horizon ...
if BP can lower their monetary penalty, all the better for them.

so, just to set a fictional scenario, a multinational oil conglomerate
pays a rogue tug captain to ram a oil well pipeline, the capt gets $50-100k as a payment for services... the oil corp says that most of the oil they spilled is already cleaned up & their fine should only be for the oil in the water before 27 july at $4k per bbl = $75million limit (example only)

~so now we have oil from 2 sources all mixed up in a confusing mess,
the tug boat incident is termed an accident & the big corporate oil co. saves 100s of millions in fines, for oil that was hidden beneath the surface in oil plumes, that finally gets recognized---but misidentified--- as oil from the tug boat incident at the other well site.
hmmmmm...

It was reported in early June, but seemed to slip under the radar, that a major oil leak was happening in the Red Sea off the coast of Egypt. Supposedly oil is showing on beaches and killing wildlife but since all the oil operations in that region appear to be owned by the state, an official investigation has found those rigs "innocent." Probably the result of a tanker washing out its tanks. Problem is, the non-existant leak is still happening.

Your response made me remember a quote from Albert Einstien I once read. When asked his opinion of which weapons would be used in WW3 he stated no opinion, but did state that WW4 would be fought with sticks and stones. Off thread I know.

Hmm, definitely an interesting theory. Something to definitely look out for too.

I would hope that anybody who oversees either disaster will be able to see something like that coming a mile away and fully expose/punish it.

I think in light of the ongoing crisis in the Gulf, any type of accident is sure to make the news.

I'm new to the subject, but it seems like accidents involving pipelines, water vessels, or the facilities involved happen everyday.

Here's some information regarding oil accidents. There's information on water spills and land spills.

Statistics on pipelines

Thats a badboy quote thank you for that

OT This is madness how everything is going pear shaped. It could be the fact that the media has drilled disaster into our minds and thats all that we are focused on. 5 years ago i didnt care about whats going on in the world "true say i was 17" and i would have never joined a conspiracy site but now i thrive on the knowledge.

In my eyes the main man that pushes all the media buttons may have had a plan. Keep feeding the public a certain type of story and when we catch them, wheel them in. For all we know desasters of this caliber may have been happening all the time. Its only now that all the countrys are showing whats going on. They may want us all to unite, nobody likes desasters so every one would be on the same side. Then BAM they have us all together so were easy to maintain. Sorta like a dog and sheep, better to have us in a flock then to deal with us individually.

Thats one of the ways im looking at whats going on around me.

Unique thinking is the key to freedom dont be a sheep be yourself.

woh thats off topic hard soz.

safe.

Oh and a solor flare could be 6th or maybe freak weather.
Might start a post with lots of outcomes and then put odds like the bookies

floods 2/1 riots 10/1
flares 25/1 comet 500/1
me getting powers and breaking stuff 6/8

Maybe it has something to do with our constantly increasing demand for the products made from it, combines with more and more access to media outlets.

oil spills do happen but the bp deepwater has brought major attention to this problem.
Don't mean to sound anti american but america is the biggest user of oil. the yanks should cut down on this bad habit.

are you implying you think solar flares are to blame for man-made oil spills?

second line right here.

I think he was replying to my post. Im pointed out that we keep on going through phases such as the oil spill, earthquakes, volcanoes, how freakishley hot is it up north and he said solor flairs might be the next phase.

safe.
