The French seem to me the type that only bet on sure things.

Al Qaeda is screwed.

I agree.

Sometimes the best method of attack is a smart withdrawl to rethink, replan and reorganise.

OK Romantic Rebel,

I know you don't get a lot of FORRREN news in Sacremento, but lets just educate you about the make of of the European Countries. They do have large ex-colonial populations.

Especially UK, France and Netherlands. mainly from Islamic countries. France in particular has around 10% population of immigrants. Mainly from North Africa.

You may have seen something s from Paris over the last few years, where they are constantly rioting.

You cannot just say this is not happening as your just making yourself look silly.

Hi, i'm an iraqi muslim and i fully support the french on this decision, however you have a few problems here.

you cant attack al qaeda in africa or afghanistan because that is a temporary solution, you must strike the heart of that terrorist organization.
al qaeda is not a country, therefore declaring a war on them is useless.
there will always be people who will join that terrorist organization and most of those are uneducated poor people who dont know whats happening in the world right now.

my solution for the french and the whole world is to strike the heart of al qaeda and that is the najd, wahhabi saudi arabia. take them out straight away and create 2 states, saudi arabia and a new state that hold the 2 islamic holy cities of mekkah and madina.

oh i forgot, the saudi elites work hand in hand with the americans and jewish zionists to bring a NWO in place.

Well you're wrong on that part. I might not watch the news on television. But I do read the news online. A while back I read that the Muslim populace is smaller then what it looks in Europe But I do go to random websites which could be false. Not every site comes with a guarantee.

Wow, France declares war against Al-Qaeda for killing a single hostage.

America blatantly allows Mexican drug cartels to rape, kidnap, and murder dozens of its citizens every single day with barely a wimper of protest. America's Federal government even takes action to prevent Arizona from protecting its own borders and interests.

And we have Americans on this thread making fun of the French?

I *WISH* I had a government that would leave other countries alone that pose no credible threat. I *WISH* I had a government that valued its citizens so much that a single life was worth defending militarily. Shame on the people making fun of France right now.

You know what. You're right! I can't stand how the Drug war in Mexico is spewing into the U.S. Of course many world cartels and gangs by the drugs and transport through other parts of the world.

And that's why you should never trust anything you read on the internet. Except this.

Although the population as a percentage in western Europe is small as a percentage group. the influence exerted is disproportionate to it's size.

And it is getting to the point where "native" people are getting very sick of it. Note rise is right wing support across Europe.

As unsavory as it is, it's a sign of the times.

Just amagine the perceived issue the US has with mexicans. Europe is the same with Muslims. (majority all of which are not radicalised), But they become a target none the less.

A vocal minority will easily and always drown out a silent majority.

Anyways, I suspect that France will lay the smack down on Al-Qaeda wherever they choose to engage them. France actually has a very advanced military and unlike the U.S., theirs is not war-torn and battle-weary from nearly a decade of fighting wars on two fronts.

So what you are really saying is that France wants its African colonies back but is using Al-Queada as a scape goat? So it can buy the African Union? (Not that they don't already).

K. Another defeat for them in the future.

One thing do know is why countries like the U.S, and European countries are getting all these legal and illegal immigrants is because the condition the countries of origins are in right now. The drug war is not the only thing terrible in Mexico. Since the Mexico economy has been very bad. The North American Free Trade Agreement didn't help at all. Lowering the trading tax, which resulted in Mexican's looking for work else where. Seems the U.S has better opportunities.

Warning Off topic
The weird thing is although there is this massive problem with the cartels, the Latin American Countries are very polarized. I live in Mexico, and it is really quite pleasant. if not with it's idiosyncrasies. (But I am English by Birth). And i think because of this whole issue Mexico general has a bad rep, that by and large is undeserved. BUT, there is this massive divide between the haves and the wanna haves. And that is a generation or two in the changing.

Back to the French, Vive la France. Guess you gringos will now return to calling them French Fries and not Freedom Fries now???

Good for the French.

If al Qaeda keeps pissing off nations, soon they will all get their wish to be a martyr.

You say you live in Mexico. Is the drug war violence and kidnappings only in certain areas of the country, or is it more widespread?

The news doesn't really tell you if this is in isolated pockets of Mexico or if it is more widespread...

Just to be Brief as it is off topic,

Mexico is a massive country, yes there is big trouble on the border, and spit and spots all over. But it is mainly on the border with the US. And DF.

Although there have been incidents in other states. But is it like saying. Don't go to San Fran, as there is violence in San Diego! It's all relative. Most people in my state, try to work for the betterment of themselves and the country. and hate the corruption and crime as much as anyone else.

Central Mexico is Lovely. and very popular with gringo retirees.
