-->Prejudice and blood libel
The claim that eating babies or fetuses is a common and accepted practice in China (or Thailand, Japan, Korea, or Israel, etc.) is essentially a modern version of an ancient form of prejudice known as "blood libel" — one group accusing another of murdering infants during the course of ritual sacrifices. According to the Greeks, the Jews did it; according to the Romans, the Christians did it; according to the Christians, it really was the Jews who did it; and so on since time immemorial.

Next Magazine
March 29, 2007
You have to be kidding right? Unfortunately this is really happening!
The Next Magazine, a weekly publication from Hong Kong, reported that infant corpses and fetuses have become the newest supplements for health and beauty in China. Not only is the placenta considered a beauty remedy, but also aborted fetuses are much sought after delicacies. In Guangdong, gourmet body parts are in high demand and can even be purchased through hospitals. The magazine's investigations into this form of cannibalism took them to Liaoning province.
According to The Next Magazine, during a banquet hosted by a Taiwanese businessman, a servant Ms Liu from Liaoning province on the mainland inadvertently revealed the habit of eating infants/fetuses in Liaoning province and her intention to return for the supplement due to health concerns. The Taiwanese women present were horrified.
Ms Liu also disclosed that even though people can afford the human parts there are still waiting lists and those with the right connections get the "highest quality" human parts, which translates to the more mature fetuses. A male fetus is considered the "prime" human part.
At the The Next Magazine's request, Ms Liu personally escorted the reporter to a location where a fetus was being prepared. The reporter observed a woman chopping up a male fetus and making soup from the placenta. During the process, the woman even tried to comfort everyone by saying, "Don't be afraid, this is just the flesh of a higher animal."
The boy's remains were cremated in the mountains in accordance with the customs of the region.
In fact, in China, reports about meals made from infant flesh have surfaced from time to time. A video is on the Internet for people to view. In the introduction, the Chinese claim that eating a human fetus is an art form.

On March 22, 2003, police in Bingyan, Guangxi Province seized 28 female babies smuggled in a truck from Yulin, Guangxi Province going to Houzhou in Anhui Province. The oldest baby was only three months old. The babies were packed three or four to a bag and many of them were near death—none were claimed by their parents.
On the morning of October 9, 2004, a person rifling through the garbage on the outskirts of Jiuquan city in the Suzhou region, found dismembered babies in a dumpster. There were two heads, two torsos, four arms, and six legs. According to the investigation, these corpses were no more than a week old and they had been dismembered after cooking.
Although China has laws that prohibit the eating of human fetus, the regime's forced abortions to ensure the one child policy is strictly adhered to thereby creating many opportunities for these sorts of atrocities to occur.
What would make people do such a thing without any fear of condemnation? Since Mao's Cultural Revolution, a complete lack of morality and respect for human life has become the norm in China. Over time, domination by the Chinese Communist regime has led to inhuman behavior and human rights violations resulting in abnormal practices such as cannibalism.

-->No one could accuse The Chinese of being squeamish about the things they eat ~ monkeys’ brains, owls’ eyes, bears’ paws and deep fried scorpions are all items on The menu. But most dishes revered as national favorites sound as harmless as boiled rice when compared to the latest pint de jour allegedly gaining favor in Shenzhen ~ human fetus.
Rumors that dead embryos were being used as dietary supplements started to spread early last year with reports that some doctors in Shenzhen hospitals were eating dead fetuses after carrying out abortions. The doctors allegedly defended their actions by saying the embryos were good for their skin and general health.
A trend was set and soon reports circulated that doctors in the city were promoting fetuses as a human tonic. Hospital cleaning women were seen fighting each other to take the treasured human remains home. Last month, reporters from EastWeek ~ a sister publication of Eastern Express ~ went to Shenzhen to see if the rumors could be substantiated.
On March 7, a reporter entered the state-run Shenzhen Heath Center for Women and Children feigning illness and asked a female doctor for a fetus. The doctor said the department was out of stock but to come again.
The next day the reporter returned at lunch time. The doctor eventually emerged from the operating theatre holding a fist size glass bottle stuffed with thumb-sized fetuses.
She said: “There are 10 fetuses here, all aborted this morning. You can take them. We are a state hospital and don’t charge anything.
“Normally, we doctors take them home to eat – all free. Since you don’t look well, you can take them.”
Not every state hospital is as generous with its dead embryos as the Health Center for Women and Children. At the Shenzhen People’s Hospital, for example, the reporter was in for a surprise.
This time it was a couple who have two daughters and this third one was confirmed to be a daughter again. So the couple aborted the baby which was five months old. Those baby who is close to be born and die naturally costs 2000 in China currency. Those aborted ones cost a few hundreds in China currency. Those couples who did not want to sell dead babies, placentas can be accepted also for couple of hundreds.

-->In September 2006, Australian television crews from ''60 Minutes'' and ''Today Tonight'' attempted to rescue a six-year-old boy who they believed would be ritually cannibalized by his tribe, the Korowai, from Papua, Indonesia.
We find a little boy looking scared and confused. Wa-Wa is six years old and he has been condemned to death all because his mum and dad died suddenly. And the people in his village think that he is a sorcerer, he's evil?
CORNELIUS: Yeah, they're suspicious, starting suspicious, that this kid's become as a sorcerer.
BEN FORDHAM: But Wa-Wa's family and friends are determined to protect him. He has been brought here to safety, to this village, a long way from the Kakua killers, and our guide, Cornelius, has taken him under his wing. How old do the villagers wait until they would kill this boy?
CORNELIUS: It could be between starting from 15 years old, 16 years old.
BEN FORDHAM: So at least he's safe for now. The villagers assured us this was the best place for him, that Wa-Wa would never be able to cope if he was suddenly taken out of the Stone Age and dropped into the 21st century. When he's a bit older, he can decide for himself whether to leave his people.
CORNELIUS: I think as long as he's staying with the family, as the family is strong enough to protect him, he will be safe, I think.
BEN FORDHAM: It wasn't easy saying goodbye to Wa-Wa. But then, who are we to impose our ways, our ideas of what's right and what's wrong on the ancient Korowai? What about this poor little boy, Wa-Wa?
PAUL RAFFAELE: He's being protected in this village here by a powerful section of his family. This is the toughest question I've ever faced and I've been thinking about it for many years. I mean, what do we do? Okay, we don't understand that they kill and eat each other, but to them, that's very important, at the very soul of their being, so my feeling, my desperate feeling is let them be as they are, because within 20 or 30 years, it'll be all over anyway.
