oh, you must have missed my and Doc Velocity's threads predicting this would happen and being jumped on and called every name in the book because we didn't jump on the doom and gloom bandwagon that the BP leak was the end of the world as we know it.

Yes that is exactly what Corexit it designed to do, clump the oil into balls and make it sink. Out of sight, out of mind, right?

Actually, no, corexit is designed to break the oil down, which is a good thing.

the keeping it out of the media's eye is an added bonus BP is making advantage of.

corexitt is a dispersant (it disperses) at the end of the day. a toxic one (so is dish soap) but an effective one, nonetheless, handwringer.

I'm sorry but it is not time for your victory dance, there is much more evidence we have yet to see. Come back and gloat in a year, when the fishing industry is thriving again, and their catch all have 2 eyes instead of three.

Dance on our lowly graves in a few years, when there is no evidence of birth defect or cancer rate increases.

Feel free to school us when the gulf tourism industry is back to its old self, with people flocking to the beaches and waters of the gulf.

I for one truly, deeply hope you can come back and do so...but the fact is we all watched that oil spew day after day...it didn't magically disappear. We have the facts on corexit, on methane levels, on the toxicity of beach conditions in spite of massive oil buildup.

So quit peacocking and use you brain.

I feel sorry for you that the disaster you were hoping for didn't happen...i lie, i don't feel sorry for you, i'm glad i was right the while time.

i recommend the same for you...use your brain

Regarding the oil spill. I challenge anyone to come up with any video footage which shows oil around any shores/beaches, I have yet to find ANY such footage myself, all I have seen have been footage from media and all I have heard have been scaremongering rants from the very same. This is yet another giant psy-op, nothing more. Understand, I do NOT deny the existence of oil or that it would not be a leak, NO. but its not the ecological disaster it has been made out to be.

Hey - uh..... 8 million barrels of oil are in the Gulf - it didn't disappear genius. It is now at the bottom of the ocean...that's an even bigger problem...

As for being right, I have no idea what you think you were " right " about - except for the fact that the biggest oil disaster in possibly modern written history had occurred and the oil is now no longer to be found? Your a moron if you think that is a good thing.

Also, the real problems haven't even begun to surface...and if you are referring to a Methane Bubble / Tsunami as being right about that? Congratulations, you just passed first grade....

Gloomer...lol why would birth defects increase etc ,Where are these 3 eyed fish apart from springfield? pure scaremongering , after all if it gets turned into fuel it would cause cancer as well when burnt , but I dont see anybody concerned about that and the cance rthat causes or giving up there massivley guzzling cars in the USA.or flights etc etc

They've been doing these little "Where's the Oil" teasers all afternoon today on CNN. They can't seem to find the oil. How did it all just vanish? How does the largest oil spill/leak (whatever) in U.S. history just vanish? Did it sink because of the dispersants?

Was this the reason behind the use of dispersants all along?

BP can't be fined X amount of dollars per barrel if they can't find the oil. Is that why the dispersants were authorised. What the hell...

The oil is mixed with dispersant which causes it to sink - guess you think out of site is out of mind - that's what BP thinks too! So arse you are not right! Get off your high horse.

Look Gents...The oil crap is still there...because they say its not you believe it? 100 days of oil spewing vanishes? Yes oil can disperse and evaporate but it doesnt disapear and a few days...especially if there is not proof besides the media relaying that no on can find it...so...

How many threads on Corexit and info was debated and now your seeing it work and everyone is going to except that its just gone? NO...its still killing wild life and runing the Gulf...its just not on the surface because millions of gallons of crap were sprayed over it to break it up and sink it to get it out of sight...much like little kids hide their dirty clothes and toys under their bed when they're supposed to be cleaning their room!

This really should not be debated too hard. Its obvious and I'm not buying bull crap from the media...am I supposed to be happy cause its not on the surface and i cant see it? Hahahah. Mama didnt raise no fool....

Someone needs to inform the sealife that they are supposed to be all killed off, it seems most of them missed the memo.

Someone should take a sub with high power lights and take pics of all the oil down there and anything else that is leaking, i bet people would be absolutely stunned at what is actually down there. I bet there are rivers of oil down there waiting for an underwater current to take them to the florida coast or where ever the current goes. Who knows, maybe the underwater oil , a slow moving current may take the river of oil to another countrys beach. Maybe British petroleums back door. Now woulden't that be ironic. We need to keep an open mind when oil SUDDENLY appears on some beach overseas. Keep a warey eye on this one A.T.S, i feel it will pop up somewhere else. I suppose BP is hopeing for the oil to go to some small country so that they can hide it better. The oil is on the ocean floor. You all saw them spray that stuff right into the center of where it was leaking.. What about the floor of the ocean? have not heard a line on that one anymore.

I continue to question the 5000 feet that they keep saying is the depth to the ocean floor where this well is suppossed to be located.

Here is a chart...look it over.
They say the well is 50 miles off the coast.
What do you see for depths at that distance.
I fail to see anything near 5000 feet -- most I can see anywhere near is 3000 feet. Further out yes it gets deeper. I early on had figured that it may be 1800 feet at the well site.

You can enlarge that map as much as you want - you can drag the little red box in the corner to wherever you want also.

Looks like this one is a wrap...

So where did the oil go? "Some of the oil evaporates," explains Edward Bouwer, professor of environmental engineering at Johns Hopkins University. That’s especially true for the more toxic components of oil, which tend to be very volatile, he says. Jeffrey W. Short, a scientist with the environmental group Oceana, told the New York Times that as much as 40 percent of the oil might have evaporated when it reached the surface. High winds from two recent storms may have speeded the evaporation process.
