And in such I agree but that 'birthright' can be obtained through other means other than 'mandatory' service. How can one appreciate their
freedom when they must sacrifice not out of free will, but of an oppressive force?
Choosing to go into service with the Federal Government, may it be military or civil, should be done so because you have the ability to choose that on
your own accord.
When I chose to join the military it was on my own convictions and my own reasons; be them pride, national pride, etc. Forcing what we call adults to
sign a piece of their lives over for the State just doesn't scream the 'Land of the Free'...
