We are about to enter a New Year called The Magnetic Moon on July 26, 2010. This year will be ruled by the moon, which will cause water events and lots of emotion. This particular Mayan Glyph is over New Zealand. On July 26th the Sun will be on three degrees Leo, which is a black hole (or doorway to another dimension).

This might be why our moon has been so bright lately.


We should look more into this.

Good about time this show gets on the road. A doorway opening anywhere at this point is a good thing.

Interesting. I googled a couple of sites, didn't get much more info. I wonder how it will affect those of us who are calmed by a full moon? Or astrological Cancers or other signs ruled by the moon?

I'm hoping it's a positive influence.

It has been very bright, and seems to be full most of the time anymore..?

I'm a Cancer and on the contrary I have felt much more level headed and calm lately. I didn't all the way up til yesterday and today. Pretty weird!

Im a cancer in SE Australia. I havent been much into it (zodiac alignments etc) so I dont know what effect the moon is meant to have on me.

I have noticed in the past week my mood swinging easily. On the 26th I ended up in a big argument with my girlfriend. No idea what sparked it but she is a gemini & been even moodier than me. After she'd settled down, her mother rang to say her step-father had been taken to hospital after taking 50 pain pills.

I have also noticed that the past few months Australian news has been reporting on a lot of violent crimes that are out of character for Australia, the nation seems to be getting more violent.

Another thing is my birds. I breed them, & in the past year they have been observed behaving in a very jumpy & extremely noisy manner, to the point I have left the house before. They woke me up today, again. These episodes last up to 6 hours & when I check the USGS, sure enough theres been a big quake within 24hrs, usually less.

Well, I'm a Taurus and I have noticed that my life seems to be steadying the past couple days from the emotional ups and downs of the summer thus far... Haven't noticed the moon much though. Although, yesterday before bed I couldn't stop staring at it, like it had me in some sort of hypnotic gaze. I had a very weird vivid dream during the night, involving a crescent moon bracelet. Weird... Any thoughts?

FROM THE TRADITIONAL MAYAN CALENDAR
To begin, both the Traditional Mayan Calendar (known as Cholq'ij) and the Dreamspell offer a 260-day calendar. In terms of the specific Mayan connection to the Dreamspell, beyond the foundation of the 13:20 code, the Dreamspell also embodies a correlation to the Yucatec Mayan "Chilam Balam." This is found in aspects such as the July 26th new year date, the specific year-bearers, the consequent 52-year pattern of Earth families, and even the omitting of the the leap-year day Feb 29th is based in the resurrection of this prophetic tradition. Because there was a long break in this Mayan tradition, this Wizard's Count of the Dreamspell is known as "reformulated Chilam Balam," for what was known in ancient times as "Jaguar Priests" is known in today's world as "Earth Wizards!"

As Dr. Arguelles writes: "The Dreamspell Count based on the Gregorian calendar synchronization date of July 26, is a precise expression of the prophetic tradition of the Chilam Balam - the Jaguar priests of Lowland Yucatec Maya. Here is more info. I found. The Moon reflects the power of the inner light, channelling and moulding it into the shape of our personality. While the Sun in astrology stands for the character, or ego-self, the Moon displays our nature in a way that can be grasped by the outer world. Ruling desire as opposed to self, or need as opposed to reason, she indicates our feelings about ourselves; how we handle relationships and our emotional responses to situations and experiences.

The Moon manages the flow of our daily functions: physical, emotional and mental. The Moon symbolises the home base and domestic environment, representing babies and young children, the mother and other important women in our lives. In a man's horoscope the Moon also symbolises the wife, or significant other. On a less personal level the Moon rules the general public, the masses.

Speaking more esoterically, the Moon rules the older, deeply set patterns of behaviour, the habits we so naturally fall into. The Moon governs the emotional personality and gives a good picture of the way our thoughts are influenced by our emotions.

every solar year has 13 moons, thats nothing new
the Hebrews were Lunar calendar followers, 2-3 millennia before the Maya

Enjoyed your thread and the references to Jose Arguelles and his synchronization of the 2 Mayan calendars - the known and the unfolding. I have to say that reading his explanations brought me a lot of peace. Trying to function in the status quo linear time illusion has become, for me, stressful beyond belief. The universe seems to cry out "move on and through!!" while I still have to be somewhere at whatever time and have this and that done etc. The discrepancies between our calendar system and heavenly signs have become glaring.
