David Cameron has insisted that there was no connection between BP and the release of the Lockerbie Bomber last year but many others think otherwise. Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi was released August 2009 on compassioniate grounds and returned to his home country Libya to be with his family as he is suffering from terminal prostate cancer and was given just a couple of months to live, almost a year on after his release he is still very much alive and kicking and being treated like a prince. In 2001 he was told he must serve a life sentence and is eligible for parole in 2021, he has been released after serving just 8 years for causing the deaths of 270 people.
Earlier this month 4 senators claimed to believe that BP had agreed on a deal in which the bomber would be returned to Libya and in return they would be allowed to drill for oil in their country although the Scotish Government also deny these accusations. What does everybody think?
