North Korea threatens 'physical response' to U.S. military exercise

North Korea vowed Friday that there would be a "physical response" in reaction to the planned joint military exercises between the United States and South Korea.

"There will be a physical response against the threat imposed by the United States militarily," North Korea spokesman Ri Tong Il told reporters outside the Association of Southeast Asian Nations meeting.

Nah Kim is bluffing AGAIN. And there is NO WAY the US and SK would stop their exercise because of this because all that would do is reward Kimmy. Nothing will happen though-more bluster.

China has harshly criticised the military drills and launched its own naval exercises off its eastern coast.

Calling the new US sanctions "hostile", North Korea said they must be reversed in exchange for a nuclear-free Korean peninsula.

If USA joint SK agains NK ... i see the bear CHINA making his move
no army CANT match them ... its like their number is almost the same in their army than all the worldwide army together ...

I beg to differ but the USA and Korea South have backed down before, and recently.

USA and S. Korea are postponing next weeks scheduled war games 'apparently fearful of the growing tension on the Korean Peninsula.' The same article goes on to report: 'The U.S. defense chief called North Korea "even more unpredictable than usual."' (link)

A few things to keep in mind.

There has been a massive regime change in North Korea.

WOW. That is a huge threat being made by them towards the US. I somehow doubt that they will have the courage to carry it out mind you.

with skepticism and an open mind

WW3 is inevitable .. the system is doomed to change for the better
when it will start ? with all the bad news recently ...it can be days or weeks
where it will start first ? cant tell .. Iran or NK

I just wanna say that it is a true shame that the REAL people of North Korea, Israel, and the United States (and any and all other countries involved) will be separated because of our governments. We have very little say in what really happens, and it can't get better. Sad, because I think without our governments we could all get along...or at least I'd like to hope so.

US likely to freeze half of 200 NK-linked bank accounts

The United States has identified about 200 bank accounts with links to North Korea and is expected to freeze some 100 of those suspected of being used for weapons exports and other illicit purposes banned under U.N. resolutions, Yonhap News reported Friday.

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton announced earlier this week that Washington will slap fresh sanctions on North Korea as punishment for the March sinking of a South Korean warship as well as pressure to get Pyongyang to end its nuclear programs.

Clinton also said the U.S. will expand existing sanctions on Pyongyang that have been in place under U.N. resolutions. The latest resolution, issued after Pyongyang's atomic test blast last year, calls for preventing financial services that could fund the North's nuclear or missile activities and banning weapons trade with the regime.

"The U.S. treasury department and intelligence authorities have identified about 200 overseas bank accounts, including those suspected of holding funds from weapons exports and other illicit dealings in violation of the U.N. resolutions," a diplomatic source said on condition of anonymity.

The U.S. is expected to have about 100 of them frozen by notifying banks of the illicitness associated with the North Korean accounts, the source said.

The US gets in these "situations" because they sign AGREEMENTS with other countries vowing to protect them. If the US did that but then they decided not to do anything, then what good would those agreements amount to? Im sure no one wants a war on the Korean Pen but at the same time the US is obligated here as they are in many other areas of the world.

All those nuclear umbrellas and vows to help to defend other countries that were signed way back during the Cold War unfortunately are still in effect.

The US can do with its allies whatever it wants. If N Korea can't handle it, they're just going to have to get used to the globalist way of life.
