The DEA has gone rogue.

www.mpp.org...

A recent raid in Mendocino County, California targeted a woman who had filed formal paperwork to grow medical marijuana, had paid a $1,050 application fee under the local ordinance, and whose operation had been inspected and approved by the local sheriff. When informed about this, the DEA agent in charge said, "I don't care what the sheriff says."

It is only a matter of time before one of these raids ends tragically with someone seriously injured or killed.

One woman is responsible for all of

This reports says so many things, far more than what is written.

I can only wonder how agents can act in this manner without being held responsible for the crimes they are committing while hiding behind the badge. Clearly these agents are acting like thugs.

It also goes to show how long it takes for a new executive admin to take over from the previous admin, and how people appointed by the previous admin can continue to pursue policies of the new admin.

Legalizing mj across the U.S. would be one of the best things we could do right now. Not only would it save a ton of tax money used to fight useless drug wars, industrial uses for canvas, clothe, paper, and bio-diesel could go a long way towards rebuilding our economy.

I have read of other similar cases over the last couple of years or so.

States allow and license growers and pharmacies, but the Feds say their laws trump those of the state and send in SWAT teams to kick down doors and arrest those license holders. It's all very screwed up!

Can't have legally grown and distributed medication cutting into the profits of the big pharmaceutical corporations, who pay so much to the politicians to keep their monopoly on expensive chemical concoctions.

Another factor I think DEA people are aware of is that if Cannabis is legalized, the markets for the harder drugs will mostly dry up, and most of these DEA agents will be out of a job. No more running around Latin America wrecking havoc.

Big media has done a good job of hiding the fact that crime rates dropped significantly in the early nineties, and have continued to drop. Yet law enforcement continues to grow. Why?

If crime continues to drop, eventually people are going to figure out that they don't have to be afraid to go out at night, and that maybe we have too much law enforcement, to many courts, and too many jails.

The PTB fear hemp. A major cottage industry could grow out of this great agricultural product.

We really have to take an objective approach to any situation happening in the area considering the amount of corruption that there is in California.

These stories kill me to read them, it erks me on the non-sense drug war level, and on the feds not respecting states rights. The people at the DEA dont care at all, they just want to keep their jobs so they bust poor guys like this who are just trying to grow some medical dank. Doesnt DEA see the violence they have caused in Mexico from their prohibition? They are ruthless, dog-shooting barbarians who just ruin people's lives.
