SPLICE - What two creatures would you Combine ?

It's just a simple question really.............if you were the cheif Scientific / Genetisist forming a new creature waht TWO animals / minerals/vegatables would you use to cross ???

I know there is a film coming out called Splice as it was trailered on this site and I have just read a story about it - linked here

which suggests that the truth is not that different from the fiction !!

So, if you could what would you create and why ??

Very interesting question. I would have to splice flies and spiders. Flying spiders. Imagine that.

I know this is probably seen as a silly htread - apologies to those who think that BUT it is topical ref the film and Genetics in the bigger picture......I mean if you read the link in the top thread then you will see that the Scientist there only a few weeks ago 'Spiliced' Human DNA with Jellyfish ???? WTF ??

Also if you are going to Splice your own creation, give us a reason why as well........ A polar bear and a mossie are interesting but WHY would you do that ????

ps - if i saw that I'd probably run away pretty quick !!!!
