Beautiful images, alright, and beautiful animals, too. But let us not forget that we, as supposedly more noble creatures should strive to get beyond our own "kill-to-survive" heritage.

Wars are the extreme example of that trait in humans and usually brought about without the pure necessity of the act. That makes wars the evil inventions in the minds of men. The people that start wars are nothing more than perverted animals that sacrifice the lesser members of the herd.

(Note: I say "...people that start wars..." I cite this as a personal observation on the human condition without being affiliated with any animal rights, human rights, peace movement or religious org.)

Absolutely amazing pictures. Even our best technology cannot create something which nature can.

Amazing photos. Thank you for this - sometimes we need reminding that there is an entire world outside of our human concerns!

I hate insects! Would rather pat that lion before I got near one of them!

Thanks for the photos.

While I share your chuckle that we could be at the "top" of the food chain, it is true we have a brain and the skill to use it.
My big problem is we generally seem to not use it.
I blame the Thumb.

See there it is again.

How wonderful life could be.....look at those pictures. Put them together with wilderness pictures and man helping man pictures and what a beautiful Planet this could turn out to be.

Sad that we were lucky enough to be given a Planet with such life and beauty and now we watch as the big Bussinesses and Governments destroy it.

We do need to stop their madness and restore this unique ORB

Pity or dark over lords dont think the same and release the technology that will free us all from our head long dash to kill the planet we need to survive.
Then again they wouldn't be called out dark over lords if they were nice. lol

may the farce be with you!

S & F. What a beautiful way to wake up looking at these. Numbers 29 & 32 are my favorites. All of them are a testament to the photographers skills and dedication.

Thank You.

Would you agree that it is equally innocent when mankind predates other species or more to the point his own species? I somehow cannot assign guilt to the actions of man when humankind are clearly at the pinnacle of this planetary food chain.

Wonderful photos indeed, and such a brilliant demonstration of the wonders of the natural world and all that inhabits it.

And you know what? Have a look outside your window, keep looking, and you will see the natural world in front on you.

Beautiful, isn't it?

And if you have a garden, feed your birds with bird feeders, and count the number of bird species you attract, and sit back in the knowledge you are helping nature. Nature shall pay you back in kind with all the wonders your eyes will allow you to see, and your ears will allow you to hear.

Proof indeed that the human race, for all it's pretence, is a savage beast.

Only the human race would kill an animal and take delight and joy in the fact.

Only the human race would wish to capture such delight and joy in the killing of an animal in an eternal image for the world to see.

Very sad indeed.
