You might think this one is a bit out there, but bear with me.

Okay, first, a quick basic explanation of what I based this theory on. In quantum physics, there is a concept called entanglement. Don't ask me to get too technical with this, but basically it indicates that measuring the outcome of an event can change it, among other things. Now, none of this has ever been truly proven, since it's hard to prove something without observing it, but it's all sound in theory.

My theory hinges on the idea that the human mind is capable of causing these changes by observation. Now, you've all heard of people who claim to be able to disperse clouds and such mentally. Now, my theory is that all matter is in a state of quantum flux, and can be influenced in some ways by observation. Therefore, focusing on a cloud may cause it to disperse.

thats something that is quite possibly a theoretical probability. Who can say for certain what our 'reality" even truly is. Brings to mind an interesting book ( autors name escapes me) called "The Holographic Universe" which basically explains a lot of paranormal and unusual phenomena by claiming that our true reality is in fact a universal hologram that we each have our own slant on the way the world is perceived. Interresting concept as well as yours is. S&F for creative thinking.

I'm loving the synchronicities in our line of thought...you wont believe how many times I've said very similar things...I believe the structure of reality comprises of an interconnected web of energy. If this were to be the case, our separation from the world and everyone around us is simply an illusion, in reality everything is bound and interconnected. Consider the butterfly effect, the thinking that a butterfly flapping its wings could ultimately be the cause or "seed" of something like a tornado. The energy systems that we observe are chaotic in nature, such as a weather system, one very small "seed" can manifest into something huge, completely changing the entire system, reflecting throughout every part of it. Usually, these systems are completely random and probabilistic in nature.

What would happen if we were to insert a conscious observer into the equation? Think of yourself and the clouds as one interconnected system. Is it possible that emitting the right type of thoughts might exert some sort of influence on another part of the system, and perhaps those thoughts might manifest into something larger as every part of the system starts to reflect your influence...people some what familiar with Chaos Theory will understand what I'm saying. For me, the double slit experiment conclusively shows that the conscious observer does influenced the observed, and very easily at the very uncertain quantum level. Everything at the quantum level is fluctuating in space time with a high degree of uncertainty - probably because there is no direct observation by a conscious observer going on at that level, but what happens when we observe things on a quantum level? They gain certainty and act as normal particles, we "pin them down" so to speak.

We wade through a sea of gases that are as dense as any other matter, so of course our generated thoughts have the capacity to initiate a causal chain that could impact other clumps of matter that connect with us through their presence within this same sea of gases. Like electric current, and how nothing really flows except the chain reaction of electrons exciting the electrons right next to them, and that excitement "flowing" and affecting the available electrons within the same environment.

Yes, nothing is supernatural. Physics - the behavior of causation - will explain everything eventually.

This fits my way of thinking.

It's all about consciousness.

Yeah? I don’t know man, I was reading along with you but then got to cloud dispersing ……I think everyone can do that in a sense just stare at the cloud for two mins “it changes form” but I only heard of this type of behavior in a movie “the men who stare at goats” I don’t know you didn’t give much detail.
Added is the “THEORY(S)” well thing is they may sound “SOUND” but who knows …really who does. Theses (who ever they are) know about all kinds of crazy sh*t, but still misplace their car keys too.

yeah...

and what about transactional interpretation?

this would account for things such as prognostication and what many call "self-fulfilling" prophecies!
