Borderline...but fine. I wouldn't take it any further.

Avatar Guidelines

Erotic, Suggestive, and Violent Content

ATS and BTS is a diverse community with a mission to help people understand important issues from current events and history. Due to an evolution from women in bathing suits to women wearing less while in suggestive poses that often detracts from the mission, the following content guidelines apply to the content of both avatars and signatures:
1) No photos of persons wearing less than shirt-and-shorts.
2) No artwork (non-photo) of persons wearing less than bathing attire.
3) No persons in a sexually suggestive pose.
5) No persons engaged in what would be considered an obscene gesture.
6) No persons pointing weapons at the viewer of the image.
7) No images containing blood or gore.
8) Other content, which at the discretion of forum staff, is designed to be vulgar, obscene, or offensive to the majority of ATS and BTS visitors and members.

And while we expect to get these threads once in a while, try to just make a simple U2U to a Moderator in the future for similar questions. Cheers.

My avatar should not be allowed according to this rule (Proserpina wears nothing in Gian Lorenzo Bernini's famous Pluto and Proserpina sculpture), but nobody complained. I think you can actually go a bit further than those rules without getting into trouble.

Its a great avatar, however it will limit the issues you can speak about, I recently changed my avatar because when I was posting anti-porn messages, people implied that I was a sending ambiguous messages. But hey girl you go!

I wouldn't dare people to "go a bit further than the rules", but I think that as long as your avatar's got style and is of good taste, nobody will complain.

Well I don't think they really wanted to implement those rules anyway, I see nothing wrong with any of the avatars here. The problem was that people were starting to abuse the freedom they had with avatars (thus ruining it for everyone else) and the rules were drawn up.

However, they are there to cover themselves and I'm sure there is leniency for say, you're lego character e.t.c.

Everyone has common sense and you know when you're taking it too far, just don't push it and all will be fine.

I've always considered rather fastidious about my appearance, I guess there are those that choose to stereotype because of a little feces tossing at the zoo. Oh well.
