Shows how much Google influences our lives and surfing habits...

Everything seems fine for me now as well.

Could it have anything to do with this:

www.pcworld.com...

What is Perfect Citizen?

According to the Wall Street Journal, Perfect Citizen will create a system to monitor vital agencies and private utilities against cyberthreats. According to the NSA, the program is purely a vulnerability assessment and capabilities development contract, a research and engineering effort.

How will the program work?

The Journal reported that the program would install sensors throughout domestic computer networks, including those of private utilities, that would raise alarms during a cyberattack on them. The NSA said the program does not involve the monitoring of communications or the placement of sensors on any utility company systems. The program, it noted, is designed to give the agency a set of technical solutions that help it better understand the threats to networks that affect national security.

Has anyone noticed a large amount of sites updating their servers this week?

Interesting, I thought this board was only using Google Search engines not their servers. Like I said I am an amateur when it comes to this stuff.

I hope not, that would mean that all those who experienced this 503 error had a malware installed on their computer network by the government.

Happened to me too in NY. It happens from time to time. I usually just go away for a while and check back later. Working fine now.

I had a few 503's earlier, but none in the last 20 minutes or so...

Pages do seem to be loading slower than usual though..

I have been a member here for awhile now, it has never happened to me before. This was the only site affected.

I've been having probs for a couple weeks. I get 503,504 errors mostly and some 'server not available', but my problem is more than likely my ISP since I'm on hughesnet satellite. I get erratic connections that flop my modem from connected to disconnected for hours. I'm suspecting solar flare activity may be hampering signals. Mine was usually in the morning when the sun came over the horizon, but the last 2 days it's been pretty choppy.

I've been browsing the site since early morning, and havn't had this happen to me once. But does seem odd lots are reporting these errors.

I got a few errors for a few moments somewhere around 5:00pm EDT or so (IIRC). It's hasn't happened for awhile though now.

My Errors were also around the same time as the Tittle reads. It lasted for 30 mins and pages open a lot slower than what I am used to. I have an upgraded comcast ISP connection. I should have any issues with speed so it was not a ISP issue as all of the other sites were not a issue, just ATS.

Has any of the Site maintenance squad stopped by to verify and talk about this problem?

Same thing happened to me earlier loads of times, had to repeatedly refresh and that worked for a while, then the page layout went abit funny, then the same error again so i gave up, seems to be fine now tho.

I would believe it. We had an M class flare earlier today. You can check on it at this NOAA link

The timing was about the same - think we should expect more?

I don't think this should be flare issue, no other site was affected but the ATS site.

This is something that directly related to ATS, either from within or from a malicious attempt.
