Cry me a river, go back to your country, leave Middle East alone.

Some times when someone is hated so much that no one wants them around, they create fear, or terrorize to stay around. That is you. No on3 likes you, no one wants you around.

All this touchy feely BS is nonsense. When the Mullah's finally develop their nuclear weapons they will destabilize the region like we have never seen before.

This will spawn a nuclear arms race in the region as all the nervous Arab countries scramble to match their arsenals.

A surgical strike on Iran's nuclear facilities will buy us some more time, maybe 2 or 3 years.

Nuclear Ayatollahs will be a great destabilizing force in the world. This can not be allowed to happen.

The writer of the article seems to have conveniently omitted this scenario. The Huffington Post is hardly a reputable source, and Stephen Kinzer is obviously trying to advance his Communist Progressive agenda.

What proof do you have that shows this scenario to be the most likely? I agree as much as the next person that the Iranian regime is extremist and religious to top it off, but this is no different than the puppet governments that exist in Pakistan, Afhanistan or Iraq.

Why aren't the United States up in arms over their nuclear ambitions?

I have not seen one shred of evidence that supports the idea that Iran is building nuclear weapons, other than hearsay and circumstancial evidence.

Even the IAEA stated that they have no proof when they did their rounds in the country over the past few years.

Please don't allow the propaganda campaign to pull the wool over your eyes.

I would consider Israel a FAR MORE dangerous country to have nuclear arms than Iran.

I would say right now, Iraq has the best chance of becoming the first democracy in the Muslim world.

*facepalm*
Erm.. have you heard of a little place with about 240,000,000 people called Indonesia? They are an Islamic Democracy and the largest Muslim country in the world. Followed by Pakistan which is also an Islamic Democracy and the second largest Muslim country with about 170,000,000 people.

I would like to say that the English speaking world is totally different than the rest of the world when it comes to hospitality. I have noticed that difference when I was in Europe. The Europeans were always more open and loved to invite you into their homes and always serving you something to eat or drink. I am sure even in other parts of the world the people of those countries do the same. I wonder how we got to be so different. I know that we have differences but that is usually because of the respective governments fault and not the general population. And yet we seem to let our governments govern our daily lives. Will we ever see a world that is much kinder??. I don't see it at least as far as I can see. Hopefully someday it will be.

It is the truth that you seem to hate so much. It burns your ears every time you hear it.

I would also imagine that nobody wants you around, as your agenda against the West is laid out for all to see.

So what is it that people don't like about me? Is it my unshaven face? Perhaps it is my bathrobe, or even my sandals perhaps. Or is it the ticking time bomb that is getting ready to explode in my turban?

And by the way,........what's an on3?.......is it a secret code?......Stupidity?......or just twitchy fingers?

Yeah, let's invade another country based on circumstantial evidence of weapons of mass destruction. It worked out so well last time

Have you seen the riots the last elections in Iran caused? Do you really think the people would stand idly by while the government launches or plans to launch nuclear weapons???

RIDICULOUS!!

We're in the middle of a major economic crisis, the US government's debt is higher than ever before in US history...yet you believe another major military invasion would be clever. Invading Iran would require a LOT more effort than Iraq/Afghanistan, and would cost billions (or more). Are you insane???

Iran isn't even a threat to the US!

Wow! And this comming from the man who sold phony derivatives and directly contributed to the financial crisis.

I never said anything about invading Iran. I merely proposed a surgical strike on their nuclear installations. Did you even read my post before you had a knee-jerk reaction?

And there is more than circumstantial evidence that Iran is close to achieving their goal. If they are to be taken at their word, they have told the world of their nuclear aspirations.

So Iran is not a threat? Only a progressive would argue this point.

I must say that I am very disappointed in your failure to even read my post. You seemed like a very intelligent individual the last time we conversed. Maybe you do not recognize me as I was sporting an avatar of Mahmoud Ackmadinnerjit the last time we had an exchange in the thread entitled....Poll: Liberals, Democrats flunk economics 101....(pages 6 and 7)....Perhaps you were just copying and pasting in order to make a good impression while advancing your Progressive agenda.........I Guess this why Glen Beck is Number 1 on you guys hit list........He exposes your Progressive agenda.

Still selling those phony derivatives?

Oh comon', you have to realize that a surgical strike of that magnitude isn't something Iran would just take without retaliation...which would require further military action.

As for Ahmadinejad (that's how you spell it btw) and his nuclear statements, he's bluffing like a lot of people in the Middle East...it's a cultural thing. Remember Baghdad Bob making outrageous claims? Remember how at the start of the financial crisis Dubai's rulers said "problems in the US won't bother the UAE economy" when it was already clear that it'll hurt them for sure? For them, saying something that makes them look powerful is a pride thing, and doesn't necessarily reflect reality.

The Iranian government is clearly stupid, as the following clip shows:

I mean...New Jersey? Paradise?? REALLY???

Since the last election, Iran is a military regime, but the middle class is growing rapidly and isn't happy with this. They clearly want the same liberties we supposedly have, and the same opportunities to buy consumer goods. Eventually, they will rid themselves of that government, it's just a matter of time as the latest riots show.

Either way, those are the same people who would not sit idly by while their military leaders launch nuclear bombs. They know that would risk their entire existence because of retaliation strikes. Even the government itself knows that any direct nuclear attack on Israel or any of the US allies would essentially end their reign...and if there's one thing they're never gonna risk losing, it's being in power. That's all they really care about, POWER! Everything else they say, including the whole "Israel must die" bull# is nothing but "showing off". The average Iranian doesn't even hate Jews and an attack would be highly unpopular with the population.

The problem is, if we attack them and do some surgical strikes...there's no telling what they'll do as retaliation. They have long range missiles and I wouldn't be surprised if they'd launch them at Israel or US troops in Iraq should we hit them first. They could also launch terrorist strikes in retaliation. All this would require more military action from our side...and as soon as civilian casualties increase, we'd lose the support of the Iranian people and totally undermine their quest in ridding themselves from their tyrannical government.

I'm not sure if you realize this, but the US can't really afford another full-scale war like in Iraq/Afghanistan...and a surgical strikes alone won't end anything, on the contrary, it would most likely be the start of a ton more bloodshed.

It's the same people who said Iraq has WMDs that are now saying Iran will launch nukes...we're still waiting to find those WMDs!!! It's nothing but fear mongering by some very uneducated people.

As for me selling phony derivatives...they were 100% legal and most major banks and investment companies sold them. Selling those derivatives wasn't the bad thing, since anyone investing should have used his brain and checked out for himself in what exactly he's investing. Sadly most people were retards and didn't investigate it at all...they just relied on the rating agencies. Those are the real criminals because they never bothered to make a real effort in really understanding those investment vehicles. Of course investment companies like the one I was working for didn't act ethically because we ended up betting in favor of the collapse of those derivatives by buying credit default swaps. But I personally wasn't involved in those, and anyone who wanted to get them himself could have done so...and should have done so if they had researched the markets and derivatives properly. Not my fault if people are too lazy or stupid to do their research!

PS: Beck's a fool!! I wouldn't believe anything that charlatan says...if you believe differently, I suggest you buy gold from the service he advertises and supports. He says it's a great investment, and if you believe him, you should definitely go for it. It's a great opportunity!! Once the gold price increase a further 65%, you'll break even

Thank you for the cordial reply, I really appreciate that. However, I have to disagree with your assessments. How can the Iranian people ever overthrow the armed Revolutionary Guard? And why would the Guard retaliate if we surgically strike their nuclear facilities, knowing full well that we will start bombing their military installations and infrastructure after such retaliation?

Remember, Israel struck Iraq and Syria's nuclear facilities and suffered no missile attacks on account of those strikes. And if Israel strikes again,...and there is a very good chance this will happen....any retaliation against them will be met blow for blow. Maybe they could then bomb Irans military compounds and give the Iranian people a fighting chance in overthrowing their armed oppressors. This will save us some money also, and I am well aware of the precarious state of our country's finances.

I think it's great that the Iranian people are young and look to the West for what we have achieved. Perhaps someday soon they will join us and help to make the Middle East a safe place where people can live in peace without fear of violence or oppression.

P.S. Oh, and buy gold from Rosland Capital, tell em G. Gordon Liddy sent ya!

The day that the US attacks Iran will be a watershed moment in US history. America's allies gagged down the attack on Iraq. Important ones among them, France and Canada for instance, refused to join the gang-up.

I think America and Israel will be alone if they attack Iran. I don't think anyone else will go for it, not even the soccer hooligans (the UK).

Every blow struck against Iran will be a blow America strikes against its own prestige. It's time for America to take a new course.

Abandon war as a solution to economic problems. If Germany can do it, so can America.

Wean itself from middle eastern oil. Let the Chinese have it. America has the know-how and imagination to find other ways. American foreign policy should not be serving the oil oligarchs.

Disarm nuclear Israel. Israel's nuclear weapons serve neither themselves nor anyone else. Israel should be a UN protected state and all members of the Security Council should unanimously guarantee it's existence. Israel should not be allowed to have its hands on a nuclear dead hand release button. Leaving the Arab states aside, it boggles my mind that Europe puts up with that as a condition under which they live.

Kudos to The Daily Show for their Iran report. It must have been fun to watch. Anyone who know Iranians knows that they are wonderful people. The notion that their country should be attacked by the US is outrageous.

What the US did to Iraq is also outrageous, really a war crime on a par with Hitler's attack on Poland. Iraq was the most socially progressive country in the middle east. Yes Saddam got too big for his britches and was a tough Arab style dictator, but he was suckered by the US in the first Gulf War and ultimately fell victim to American larceny.

Since when do France and Canada volunteer to do anything? Canada enjoys its freedom primarily because of United States military might.
You guys get to bask in the freedom that is maintained by the sacrifices of American soldiers. You get to sit there and run your mouths against the only country that is preventing you from being wiped off the face of the Earth by the many nations that would rather see you destroyed than listen to your hypocritical arguments.

Ya well you're right. Why should other nations fight to preserve liberty.....war is such messy business.....One thing's for sure, Canada will never volunteer.

American prestige? America has no prestige thanks to guys like you. Perhaps it's time that America does take a new course and tell your government that we can no longer protect you from the forces of external barbarism that wish to use your country as their own private ice skating rink. We can no longer afford to do it.

Ya right, and who is the one who will do the disarming?.....Canada?....lol....

The UN can't even protect its own treasury, how the hell is it going to protect Israel?

Its amazing how Jewish people now have their own country with nuclear weapons and in close proximity to Europe. But I doubt if they would ever let the inhuman way that they were treated in Europe influence any decision they would make to nuke one of their countries......Germany... perhaps?...

I am amazed how anti-semites like yourself can come up with all these ideas on how to make the world a safer place. The world wouldn't last 6 months if it listened to people like you.

Nuclear weapons are a deterrent in the hands of Israel. They would not be used as a deterrent in the hands of the Iranian government. They would spark an arms race that would eventually engulf the Middle East and the rest of the world.

Ya right, tell that to the millions of dead Iraqi's and their families who have been brutally tortured and murdered under Saddam's decades long reign of tyranny.......And you accuse the United States of war crimes?......you're a real piece of work....you know that?

"Let us tolerate only one outrageous conspiracy theory, concerning the attacks of September 11th."

Just another whacked out 9-11 conspiracy theorist I see. Hell, even Bill Maher doesn't believe the United States had anything to do with the attacks on September 11th. Perhaps you ought to get your world view from his comedy show......at least his writers are paid accordingly.

Americans (and other westerns for that matter) have to stop listening to Israel's BS propaganda and think for themselves. Israel wants you to hate Iran for their own gains. They want you to sick the American attack dogs onto them because they can't win by themselves.

Iranians are good, warm people.. and they make a hell of a good kebab! At least the ones who owned the shop where i used to live in Queensland did!

The world sees USA as Israel's bitch. I'm sorry if this offends you, but from an Australian perspective, this is true. Time to wake up an see who's really pulling your strings.

I am not anti-semetic.. i am anti-Israel Government.

Just remember what scott ritter told us right before the feds planted that 12 year old girl in his hotel room. "Make no mistake about it, if there is a war between the united states and Iran it was planned in Tel Aviv"

You see Israel has this plan to steal the land from the nile to the euphrates, they won't get that but they think they can get lebanon and all of palestine. The problem is/was that Iraq and Iran stood in their way. So THEIR plan was to get the Americans to hate Iraq and Iran by putting out propaganda in the media saying Iran and Iraq are bad etc. They have a major grip on America. Any American who studies American politics knows this. They know they can get Obama and therefore the UN to pass resolutions destroying Iran. It has nothing to do with WMD. It has everything to do with Iran standing in their way of taking over the middle east. America is being forced to go along with the madness.
