What do you think would happen if Aliens made themselves known to us and made full contact?

We are pretty obviously a violent bunch of people, who here actually thinks that if some alien creature comes out of a space shift tomorrow that we would give them a fair chance?
and who believes we would just shoot away with as many weapons as possible?

It does not matter if you believe in them or not I am simply asking what you think would happen if they did touch down.
(I am sorry if this has been posted before)

and for the thread lets just say they landed down in the USA.

Here is how I see it playing out.

The government would hold the global citizens hostage until the aliens left so the PTB don't lose whatever it is that htey think they have.

I would love to watch the peoples faces who have been mocking believers.: The ones who thought that we were nuts. They will be the ones who panic and in a few seconds realize just how wrong they were.:lol

There would be rioting in the streets! When the good people of Earth realized that their governments have been lying to them for the past 60+ years, they would loose confidance in their governments, and the governments would loose all power.

At the present time, the government could not defend themselves against the people. There are too many people, and many of them are armed.

The governments seeing this would have a choice; fight the aliens or fight the people. If the aliens were peaceful, and were helping the people, then the government couldn't turn the people against them and would be doomed.

The final result; new government on a planetary scale.

On the other hand ... if the government coordinated with ET in a controlled disclosure, then everything would continue as it is now, although, y'all would get some new technologies. The people would be "happy" (sort of), and the governments still in control.

Depends what they do: if they plant a cross, a flag and hand out glass beads we better give them whatever they want and point them onwards.

I want disclosure as much as the next person. I really think that there would be a lot of people that it would scare. I also think that the government would take them and do experiments on them and probably kill them by doing so.

I think many people are ready as long as they are benevolent. Are we ready for their entire scope of technology? I don't know....we probably already have a lot of the capabilities that have come from them but it's being withheld from us.

One thing is for sure, for all those that are still so closed minded and asleep, it would cause them to question and probably lose everything they have ever believed and everything they thought they knew.

The movie Independence Day comes to mind... You'd have some people thrilled and over joyed with the new possibilities for Earth/humanity and some would have their heads explode(minds blown?) from something that they think could never have existed. Government would lose its power and creditability if it was found they knew ahead of time, and if it was still even a gradual disclosure they would probably have a hard time controlling the masses who would expect a lot more sweeping changes to our cultural, environmental, economic, technological, and political processes. In general probably chaos followed by a period a massive change.

It wont happen. Aliens are not real. Face it, if they were why are they not here. why dont they land on the white house lawn and say hello instead of flying around and being sneaky in there little flying soucers.

At first everyone would scream and run around shouting "OMG!"

Next, people would be talking about it for a month or two going "Huh, imagine that."

Finally, after a couple months it would pretty much be business as usual.

The Brookings report is/was/and will always be out of touch.

Well if we are going to play make believe then I would have them land on the white house. They would all come out of there ship and all “MAN” would embrace them. You see, they turn out to be a race of really, and I mean really, hot woman aliens that are actually from earth but left a long time ago and came back. That’s what would happen

If they do land Columbus-style with flags and a show of force, then in SA we'll give them a short history on colonialism and how insignificant we are and send them to Washington or London.
So where-ever they land we'll send them to the superpowers - I hope that's OK with everyone from the US.

it would be utter craziness if they did show up with flags and claim this at there own, who knows maybe it is there planet haha

I would sell them Manhattan for some cool space beads. History does repeat itself. Also I am pretty sure Arizona would have a law written up about them in a week. Alien sightings of all types I hear.
