ok, enemy government.

from what i know, there are two that are a real threat.

North Korea, Iran.

North Korea cant get their rockets very far, as they keep exploding on the landing pad or crashing into the pacific ocean.

Iran wants peace, and know that they'll be blown to bits if they attempt something like that.

man i had a great time reading all of this for let me tell you ,i see so many people getting upset at this man ,but it is you who are trying to convince his mind to be of mutual thought ,and you meaning both of you ,for dont fight him embrace him, its funny how some of the people posting believe the luner landings were faked ect ect ! but yet nothing hes talking about is fake ,all i am saying is that it was faked once ,it could have been faked again ,anyway i have wished upon that falling star my friend and i would like to see it come true for open the hatch and guide me down !

Ok I can see where your coming from with this but.... if what you say is true then wouldnt commercial airflights be faked infront of greenscreens?? do you get where im coming from?? I know commercial jets do not go as far up as shuttles or into orbit but... also what about fighter jets?? the satellites?? and the sending of probes and rovers??

and that happened because a piece of the PROTECTIVE UNDERCOATING fell off during takeoff and some not-so-smart nasa people decided to have the astronauts not repair the damage in space.

Actually, that video was the Challenger, which blew up on take off in 1986. I remember that.. I stayed home sick from school that day and watched it live. I believe it had something to do with a defective valve in between the booster rocket and the main tank. Very sad. There was a teacher on that flight too.

The shuttle Columbia is the one that broke up on re-entry.

NO. O-ring seal on one segment of one SRB. Morton-Thiokol engineers (the contractor that built the SRBs) were advising caution due to the extremely low temperatures overnight...well below freezing. There had been previous signs of the hot gas "blow-by" in the SRB secment joints previously, when the Boosters were recovered and refurbished, to be used on subsequent flights. Thiokol engineers' concerns were over-ruled by NASA upper management decisions.

The (tragically incorrect) thinking of the decision-makers was, it had happened before (the "blow-by") and there had been no loss of the vehicle, so they "assumed" that the situation was manageable.

Plus, there had already been delays, launch scrubs -- and they were bumping up against a window closing...but NOT one of normal NASA concern. It was the politics of having the teacher (Christa McAuliff) onboard that led to their decision to launch...because more delays would have pushed her "lessons" into the weekend, which would have defeated the purpose of having "live" lessons streamed to classrooms all over the USA.

We haven't talked too much, but i'm going to be honest with you, i would like to know a couple things:

1) As stated in your profile you hate spanish, while i think it is one of the most beautiful languages in the world, just look at Pablo Neruda or Garcia Marques, they are masters, i can't believe you can hate such a beautiful language, but please, since you have stated you hate it, let us know why.
