I like the theme based MOD thing.

It draws attention to the AUTHORITY figure on any given day, and sometimes the selections are quite hilarious!

Plus, it let's me know, that not just one MOD is out there, and that they are communicating amongst each other, which is a good thing!

Consistency is important, on a site like ATS!

One for all, and all for one!

They are a team!

maybe we should design ensignia's or emblems for the mods?
i've been playing around with our united nations emblem and flipping it vertically ... sorta looks like an angel with wings, with space in the middle where the interlocked circles join. like an "ATS badge" for our mods, to accompany their avatar, perhaps? something akin to the old "WATS" or Way Above Top Secret Award ATSers used to wear for a month if they won.

in the mean time maybe we should offer up some suggestions for solidarity avatars themes for them in the future?

1) how about the muppets, and sesame street characters?

2) how about alien cartoon characters like marvin the marshen and gazoo from the flintstones, and other alien cartoon characters?

those are two suggested themes i can think of right now, but if i get some more i will share.

LOL, cute ideas, but, I think just a picture of a fly on the wall would suffice!

Sadly, I miss the contributions of some of our Mods.

That got them where they are, and now they don't spend as much time on here participating as reading and Moderating.

Too me, that is sort of sad.

I think some of them need a get outta jail free card sometimes, just to remind us how brilliant some of them are!

It just goes to show that the mods are sheep, following the herd mentality.


Maybe they should all change to sheep avatars.


Then again, that might be a bad idea; Someone might complain that this has become a redneck porn site.

i agree. they do have that "boxed" option to contribute a post as a commenter, and member, but with responsibilities and obligations comes more rules and regulations, it would seem.

for the most part i think the mods do a good job of moderating, but their responsibilities for representing ATS balanced with representing themselves and their views does sometimes seem to not mix well with some.

if the members contributions needed less moderating, then maybe our mods would be a little more "free".
