Here's a pic I found at: www.mythicalrealm.com...

It says that it was shot down over Copenhagen by the Belgian Huntress Nadine Legrande and is now in a Danish museum.
I think that it's a fake but pretty cool none the less. So, what do you guys think?

It does look fake.
The wings start at the neck instead of the sholders or body.
They didn't even work that hard on it.
Looks like they just gutted a bird at put it over the head of a lion.

At first it kinda looked like a lion was eating a bird... they could have at least tried a little harder.

If that was the case, then obviously the wings would start at the proper place.

I think it's just a feather that looks like an ear because of the lighting.

Its looks fake to me. I went to a gas station in oregon once and they had a stuffed mermaid. That was fake looking, too.

hmmm...cool but fake

i agree...the wings start at wrong place and the beak and claws are too yellow looking.

I'm going with "fake" for a couple of reasons:

#1: That's not a museum display.

#2: the feathers are real; the beak is plastic (the ceres (waxy place around the nostrils) are the same plastic as the beak.)

#3 wings aren't NEAR big enough to loft that body. Particularly with those skimpy, ratty feathers.

#4... those legs (as everyone says) are the wrong color.

#5 The front left leg bends wrong

IF that's a lion's hindquarters behind it (might be), a male African lion's is about the same size as a deer's. That would mean it's a chimera (a thing made up of two stuffed animals.)

Interesting curiosity, but a fake.

how would that thing ever get off the ground? seems to me the wings would need to be alot bigger to lift that lion body.

This must be the jack-a-lope of Denmark.
