Harvey Pekar (American Splendor) Passes Away

Harvey Pekar, creator of the "American Splendor" comic, passed away early Monday (July 12) morning at his home:

Oh man thats sad. I really didnt know about him until I saw the movie American Splendor. He seemed to have been quite the character.

Finally the old fart left us to suffer and be grouchy in the lands beyond, and I mean that in the must respectful way possible, its what Harvey would have wanted, I'm sure.

I saw the American Splendor docudrama, and then went and bought some of his collections, immediately recognized the dark genius within, godspeed Harvey Pekar!!!!
