They aren't army. Delta Force, is a nick name for a SOCOM unit that recruits from any branch of the military.

Unless they changed since I was in, they are definitely Army. They do recruit from other services, generally Marines, but your best bet is to be in an A team with at least a Ranger tab. At times every Delta operator had been in the 75th but they've loosened up since.

eta: in the Army, not CAG. The Delta guy comes around a couple times a year to the good girls and boys in 82nd, Ranger regiment and your SF battalion and tries to pitch the joys of counter terrorism
