Iranian turned US spy: Tehran will attack Israel

www.ynetnews.com

They will attack Israel, European capitals, and (the) Persian Gulf region at the same time...
Former Revolutionary Guard member who relayed its secret operations to CIA for 10 years says Iran will commit 'most horrendous suicide bombing in human history' if not stopped...

The article mentions that this spy joined the Revolutionary Guard following the Islamic revolution of 1979, but volunteered to work for the CIA...

How does one "volunteer" to work for the CIA? Especially if you are a current member of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps? This guy is saying that he was a traitor to Iran, for FREE? Was he not concerned about his own life?

Also, why does the "Iranian turned U.S." spy not mention the U.S. as a possible target?

Something isn't adding up here.

Isn't this the same guy the US is accused of kidnapping? This whole story has smelled of BS from the beginning. There is so much back-and-forth I'm not sure anyone knows the real truth at this point. Further, chances are he's going to be killed before we ever find it out anyway. Once he serves his purpose that is.

Any of the following may possibly be right:

The Iranian said he was kidnapped perhaps to save himself from being executed by Iran.....

Iran said the US kidnapped him to save face against one of their own turning to enemy # 1....

The guy is a double agent saying he is loyal to anyone that won't kill him....

or

We've just met the 'reason' we are going to bomb Iran.

Take your pick.
At this point, I think anything could be true.

But the main point at his juncture I think is really that the war drums beat louder and louder the longer we remain in the economic shambles we currently face....

War is going to be the recovery. With whom, is anybody's guess. It'll probably start with Iran, then move on to China and Russia, etc.

It won't be pretty. It won't end well.

Wow, this information sounds almost as credible as the intelligence that allowed the attack on Iraq. If the CIA is telling us, you can believe it's true.

Well the name is a pseudonym so there's no way of verifying anything. Me thinks some propaganda is in the air.

How convenient for the USA eh?

Have an ex Iranian national state that he knows that Iran will attack Israel and other European targets.

What's the motive? What does Iran have to gain from attacking anybody?

I don't buy it one bit, this is just part of the propaganda campaign for a first strike resolution against Iran.

What position did this guy have in Revolutionary Guard? I would think that those plans would only be available to the highest of positions and not just some lowely scientist or what have you.

Doesn't this remind you of WMD?

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

My propaganda bells went off when I read the title. I've gotta tell ya, this is the least sophisticated piece of propaganda ynet has put out in some time.

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

Questioning the creditability of the news at this point I think is the smartest thing to do. CNN also carried the story. What in the book he is promoting might give some better insight.

i hate to be really cynical but this maybe nothing more than a book promotion

" said Kahlili in one of his first public appearances to promote his new book "A Time To Betray: The Astonishing Double Life of a CIA Agent inside the Revolutionary Guards of Iran".

see he was promoting his new book i hope that is all it is

Whoa, caught this on the reread:

"This is a messianic regime. There should be no doubt – they are going to commit the most horrendous suicide bombing in human history. They will attack Israel, European capitals, and (the) Persian Gulf region at the same time," said Kahlili in one of his first public appearances to promote his new book "A Time To Betray: The Astonishing Double Life of a CIA Agent inside the Revolutionary Guards of Iran".

*snip*

Kahlili, arrived at the conference wearing a surgical mask, sunglasses and a baseball cap to conceal his identity. Out of concern for his safety, as well as that of his family inside Iran, his voice was also disguised.

He's got a new book out but he's dressing in disguise for his safety? WTF? I'm officially calling BS.

You know it's funny.

If he'd actually defected to the CIA over ten years ago, don't you think the first thing would have been to guarantee amnesty and immigration for his family in Iran?

I certainly would have.

Secondly, if you have a book coming out, regardless of the name on it, people KNOW who you are.

Iranians aren't dumb, and you could bet your lucky shoes that they would instantly or almost instantly know who this person was, what he did and they would retaliate.

Intelligence agencies are very good at what they do, hence the name intelligence.

The more I read about this whole defect individual, the more and more I see it as being BS.

Can the zionists not just stick with the usual false flag attacks because this is fooling no one apart from the BBC news editors which i'm sure will take it as gosbal.

As stated in another thread the USA is realy looking desperate so apart from the economic crash what else are they trying to hide.

a defector from iserail told me that iserail wants to start world warIII to bring about the end times however this story checks out.

From the article,

During a conference held at The Washington Institute for Near East Policy on Friday, Reza Kahlili (pseudonym) estimated that Iran will eventually attack Israel, Europe and the Persian Gulf states.

The key word in this entire article is eventually. This (as several posters have already stated before me) is propaganda. The economy will eventually bounce back, the oil spill will eventually be contained, and all of us on this site will eventually pass away (except for those that are "spiritual beings" or other "celestial beings" that visit ATS to give us important information
)

I would not read too deep into this article.

Oh gosh... CNN apparently posted on this last night

Ex-soldier in Iran's Revolutionary Guard writes of life as CIA spy
From Elise Labott, CNN Senior State Department Producer
July 9, 2010 10:36 p.m. EDT
Washington (CNN) -- The tale contains elements of a spy thriller: a soldier in Iran's feared Revolutionary Guard turns spy for the CIA after concluding that the government that had promised democracy had instead ushered in oppression, violence and death.

www.cnn.com...

Because as we all know once CNN covers a story it's legit!

I believe you are right.....

But you'd think they could at least write more believable crap than this?

Do they think we're really that dumb?

Well considering peole in the US are still expecting us to find WMD in Iraq...

I dunno, there's not much left to lie about that hasn't been widely accepted by the US populace.

So yes, I do think they think we are that dumb.
