Why wouldnt it work? The Americans have been training monkeys for years and the Brits pay the troops peanuts. Perfect combination.

It brings to mind the Soviet anti-tank dogs and perhaps attempts to train dolphins in the Cold War to place mines.

I do wonder whether a monkey or ape could actually carry an AK47 as these animlas are not exactly big and if they could whether they would contend with the noise and recoile.

Conclusion = Rubbish. Poor monkeys.

The second image in the OP is most definitely fake. I remember seeing such things in Pakistan and India as well. A kid had a monkey on a rope, and gave it some prop (a toy gun, a hat, sunglasses), which it used to perform. People would gather around and watch, and hopefully toss a coin their way.

BS. Why are the pictures in black and white? It seems more like a pet show which people do on roads and collect dimes. Usually happens in second and third world countries. Monkeys are given different items such as stools to sit, hair brush to comb hair and its 5-10 mins show. I have seen 2-3 shows of those shows myself. In the first picture itself a kid is holding the monkey on leash and dats how these roadshows are done. Nothing to see in this bogus news.

they should roll live grenades into balls with monkey crap, then train the monkeys to throw their crap balls at the enemies. i thought the monkeys were just used to detonate land mines, a monkey crouching with a machine gun is kind of freaky.
