During the WWII the Germans dropped leaflets on the Brits in Italy something like "While you're fighting the Germans, the Americans are shagging your girlfriends" I thought it was quite funny.

Yes the Japs did the same thing with the Australians. This may have been in part responsible for the Battle of Brisbane in '43.
