What was the DNA compared against to confirm that it was in fact extraterrestrial? Don't think they'd make this announcement without first announcing that we had a sample of ET dna.

I have a biology degree, but have never worked as a biologist. But I'm confident enough to say this don't smell right.

I read the entire article this time. I think he is just throwing out a theory. It is possible, but we have no way of proving or disproving this. Junk DNA is still a mystery, and every now and then a segment of junk DNA turns out to have a purpose.

It is not extraterrestrial, I don't even know what that means, but from what I know the percentage of DNA mentioned as being ET is the part we thought was jibbrish and useless.
