For several days, NASA's STEREO-B spacecraft has been monitoring an apparent sunspot on the far side of the sun. Just yesterday, it erupted and hurled a bright coronal mass ejection over the edge of the solar disk (movie). Now, the sunspot itself is approaching: The Solar and Dynamics Observatory took this extreme ultraviolet picture just hours ago. It shows the spot's magnetic canopy towering over the sun's eastern limb, heralding the appearance of the sunspot's core on July 9th or 10th. After that the active region will turn to face Earth and any further eruptions could be geo-effective. Stay tuned

Looks like the Sun is finally starting to get active, coming out form is deep slumber.

Get ready for all the 'OMG, cme , end of the world" post.

Does look like it will be capable of some strong eruptions, like its says, 'Stay Tuned!'

That is one massive outburst, let us hope that it does not do that while it will be facing us. Otherwise, well if you have watched "knowing".

Besides stating end theory´s could we get a pro on this subject to tell us what the effects of a outburst like that would have on earth , end scenario, fried powerlines, massive heatwaves or simply just a wery colorful sky?

I think that it's more than probable that we would survive a CME as they have happened in the past and will continue happening in the future. I live in Quebec, and although I do not remember the one that happened in '89 (I was 4 years old), I am sure that there will be more of this type and that our infrastructure is more than ready to take it. I have faith in the fact that we as humans will adapt to anything that will be thrown at us.

Think of the people who survived:
- Massive flooding,
- Earthquakes,
- Volcanoes,
- Severe hurricanes, floods, etc...
- massive bombing campaigns in the great wars,
- starvation (current day Africa, Ukraine in the 30's, etc),
- genocide (Cambodia, Somalia, etc...)...

Humans, for some reason, have adapted to situations that impact them. I'm sure we'll lose a few people, but in all, people will revert to their instincts once the TV and the MSM gets turned off and they will survive and rebuild, and continue to live on with another lesson under their belt (until, that is, they decide to do it all again...).

When is this thing due to hit us earth dwellers?

Between this and the other predictions between now and next week.. I'll be driving the bug out vehicle for the next week.. it's designed to handle a direct EMP.

Yeah, I am a bit nervous about this one,.. I don't know why. Might be all the doom and gloom predictions I have been reading.
However the sun is like Russian roulette with the CME's blasting off the sun always missing the earth. One day, one is bound to hit us directly.

It says in the post that this will be facing earth after the 9th or 10th, in wich points out another question. How long does it take for the sunspot to reach the other side, hence therefor not facing us anymore?

Like i said, they're awakening the sun (all the UFO's you see) around the sun.

Jesus is being ressurected, our sun is coming back!
